been a second since i showed my face on here! love this trend and especially this song 💃🏼 🪩 📖 #iknowwhatyoulike by @readingwith_liv

Wishing you & yours a very merry, peaceful, and healthy Christmas 🤍
I truly wouldn’t be here without my incredible customers and friends, and the support you’ve shown me—thank you for all the love along the way!

Heading into the new year, I’m wishing for peace (especially from Etsy, it’s a hard one to navigate as a small business), connection, beautiful moments, inspired creativity and good health. 2025 was chronically a tough year both physically, emotionally and mentally for me and creating bookish bits offered a proper outlet for me!

Thank you to each and everyone of you for choosing my lil shop to be part of your e-reader glow-up moments. It truly means everything to me 😭 I was honored to collab with some of you this year too on products & ideas, and it was SO fun 🤩

The most important shoutout goes to my loving husband and kitty- who both helped me through late nights, producing packaging items, and fulfilling orders. I can’t lie, the husband definitely stood in the line at the post office more than me and I love him for it! I couldn’t do it with out you!

Here are a few snapshots from this year 😊
2026 is already feeling bright for us ✨🤍
All my love,

the deal

★ ★ ★ ★ ⭑ 4.5/5

Since I’m diving back into the Off Campus series, it feels only fair to finally give The Deal a proper review. I first read it in the Serengeti (swipe for my late honeymoon post 🤣)— lions roaring in the distance while I was busy falling for Hannah and Garrett. At first, though? They were SOOOO annoying I nearly gave up. I only stuck with it because @djoonsbookshelf told me to — and thank goodness, because once it clicked, I couldn’t put it down.

Garrett turned out to be hilarious and unexpectedly sweet, Hannah strong and relatable, and together they made the perfect escape read. The spice was SO good 😊, and honestly made the story even more addictive. Docked half a star for the rocky start, but overall? Funny, swoony, spicy, and the perfect kickoff to the series. Also… I squealed when I heard they’re making it into a TV show!!! Cannot wait to see these two brought to life 😃 by @readingwith_liv

★ ★ ★ ⭑ 3.5/5

This book left me feeling pretty conflicted. I read it in a day.. so there was definitely something in there keeping me around, drawing me in emotionally, but also some choices that pulled me out of the story…

I appreciate that the story explored heavier themes beyond the central romance. Family struggles, trauma, and difficult diagnoses gave the book more layers and made the characters feel more real.

I feel like Milo would love a Noah Kahan album 🤣 He def needs therapy!! I loved the dynamics between Milo & his siblings. The family connections, both supportive and strained, ended up being just as compelling as the romance!

Prue was boring to be honest.. I mean really, really boring and I wish her character had more depth outside of being the glue to her family.. she was suppose to be writing and wrote like 4 poems in the book then they just stopped??

I struggled with Milo being a legit creep in the beginning and it felt like his bisexuality was just tossed in there for shits & giggles and not explored at all. His intro was too forceful, especially with some comments and behavior that focused heavily on sex. While I get that he was meant to be charming and adventurous, those moments made him harder to root for. Some moments I was so in their story and feeling the emotions and then Milo would say something weird and take me out of it 😔

There was a lot of imbalance between Prue & Milo which was honestly super grating! I don’t really care for the whole guy-is-a-hypersexual-hoe and the-girl-is-prude-and-inexperienced trope.

Their connection was 0 to 1000 so quickly, and I found myself wishing for more quieter moments where they truly got to know each other outside of physical intimacy. A few added scenes of shared vulnerability would’ve made their intense feelings more believable. I honestly had whiplash when they were 1 page not in love and the next BAM 💥 in love.

This wasn’t a bad read at all…I laughed, I teared up, and I cared about where the characters ended up. But the reliance on certain tropes and some uneven character work kept it from fully landing for me! Have you given this one a go?! by @readingwith_liv

rewitched

★ ★ ★ 3/5

Honestly, I was hoping to enjoy this story a bit more…especially with such a beautiful cover!

I really liked the magical elements, especially the challenges that pushed Belle to reconnect with her powers. Those moments were whimsical and fun, and they gave me a glimpse of the book I had been hoping for. Unfortunately, this book dragggggged on.

The first half of the story is SOOO slow. We spend so many pages with Belle in her non-magical life—working at a bookshop, doubting herself to no end 🥱 In a book about witches, I expected magic to play a bigger role from the beginning.

I was hoping for more intensity, more romance, and more depth in the plot. Instead, a lot of events felt random, with world-building explanations popping up after the fact to smooth things over, and then I was just at the point of not caring anymore as I wasn’t invested in the characters or story.

There is definitely potential in the author’s writing. But overall, this debut didn’t fully come together for me. Curious to see what this author writes next, even if this particular story wasn’t a favorite! ◡̈ by @readingwith_liv

one golden summer

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5/5

I went in for the summer vibes and a fun romance… and left obsessed with Charlie Florek. I only vaguely remembered him from Every Summer After, but here? At 35? He is utterly magnetic from page one to the very last sentence.

Carley Fortune transports us straight into golden sunsets, jet ski rides, cliff jumps, and lazy yellow-boat afternoons. I will never recover from the tension and chemistry between Charlie and Alice? …. WOAH 😳 🤯

I adored how Alice softened Charlie’s edges, and how Charlie brought joy and adventure into Alice’s world. Their dynamic was irresistible.. it reminds me so much of my partner and I!

And Charlie himself? An incorrigible flirt, a charming smart ass-beam of sunshine with an ego the size of the lake, and green eyes you could get drunk on. I also adored his relationship with Alice’s Nan!

Carley Fortune delivered the perfect mix of nostalgia, swoon, and summer magic.

And to read this at the lake… what an absolute treat 🥹 I’ve been waiting all year to do so!
Nan was right.. Good things happen at the lake 🥹🥰 by @readingwith_liv
