Weekly Update 🩷

LAST WEEK:
- I went to a sip & paint with @rebekahhharvey this was a really cute, relaxed event and I will definitely be looking at their upcoming Christmas events!
- I received some very pretty book mail! I am excited to read this one 👀
- Lots of writing! I am finally making some progress with one of my projects 📖
- A date day to The Trafford Centre with @flynnjf_ This was a much needed afternoon 💖
- Early morning Pilates with @wellnesstribe_studio at @covecafes on Sunday - I never thought I would be a 7am Pilates girl, but I really loved this! 🧘🏼‍♀️
- Sunday afternoon visit to Rainford pumpkin patch and the k9 Barn. Nova got to have a run around with a group of other energetic doodles, she gets a little shy with these bigger groups but she always finds a friend to attach herself to! We had a little walk around the pumpkin patch and the autumnal stalls, where we picked up some decor for the house!

THIS WEEK:
- Tonight is @chapter25bookclub meet! I have not read this months book, but I am looking forward to socialising with everyone 📚
- Tomorrow night I have a yoga class booked 🧘🏼‍♀️ A much needed de-stress this week 🩷
- Wednesday I am hoping to have a nice relaxed day filled with self care and maybe a coffee date with friends ☕️
- Maybe a cinema date one night with Jake this week. I am staying at my parents house this week, so it will be nice to get out with each other 🥰

About Me! (A Reintroduction) 💖

I thought now would be a good time to share a new ‘About Me’ post for both old and new followers!

My name is Aimee, I am 30 and I live in the UK (North West)
I am happily married to Jake — We have been together for almost 15 years and married for coming up to 2!
We have two pets, Bean the tabby cat and Nova the cockapoo, they drive us crazy but we love them 💕
We like to travel and explore new cities together
I love reading, books shops, coffee shops, Jellycats, cross-stitching and cosy activities with friends and family
My favourite genres to read are: Romance and Thrillers
I love rewatching comfort shows such as Greys Anatomy, Criminal Minds and The Vampire Diaries
I love spring, flowers and going for walks
I enjoy writing in my spare time, and I am currently working on a piece I would love to eventually publish!

Star Rating Guide ✨

I feel my star rating system needs a reboot! I think I was getting a little too generous and inconsistent in my rating, so I decided to update by system to make my reviews more honest and consistent this year.

Book Review ✨📚

The Third Gilmore Girl: A Memoir by Kelly Bishop
(I do not give autobiographies/memoirs a star rating)

I loved every second of this audiobook. Kelly Bishop has a voice and a story that I could listen to over and over again. She is one strong, determined woman who worked hard to make her dreams become a reality, from being an extremely talented dancer in theatre and on broadway, to becoming a successful much loved actress all while dealing with some heartbreaking personal life challenges. My love and admiration for Kelly bishop grew more and more as I listened to her story.

Author Spotlight 💖

So far I have only read one of Stephanie Garber’s books, but I thoroughly enjoyed it! So much so that I simply had to buy the rest of the Caraval series and the Once Upon A Broken Heart series in their beautiful hardback editions. These are some of the prettiest books that I own and I will without a doubt buy any and all future books in these editions by Stephanie!

Boo Basket Season! 🧡

The treats just keep on coming 🥹
After treating me to a new books at The Trafford Centre at the weekend, Jake then handed me the cutest Boo Basket (which of course contained another book!)
With cute Halloween PJs, some autumn tea towels, a Peanut @jellycat and the beautiful anniversary edition of IT! I am obsessed with it, he knows me so well 🥰
