Book Tour: THE SEOUL LETTER SHOP by Baek Seungyeon 📝🐈‍⬛🩵⁣
⁣
Thank you, Partner @bibliolifestyle @harperperennial - The Seoul Letter Shop was out, October 6th, 2026! ⁣
⁣
•genre: cozy, romance, contemporary ⁣
•pages: 272 paperback⁣
•current GR rating: 3.75 ⭐️⁣
⁣
I was drawn to the calming cover and after reading the synopsis, I knew this book would be perfect for me to read this fall!⁣
⁣
Synopsis:⁣
⁣
A moving story of loss and connection, The Seoul Letter Shop is a poignant exploration of the distance that separates us—and the words that just might bring us home.⁣
⁣
At twenty-eight, Woo Hyo-young has mastered the art of silence—especially when it comes to her sister, Hyo-min. After years of shouldering the burden left behind by Hyo-min’s betrayal, and sacrificing her own dream of becoming a film director, Hyo-young is worn thin. When letters of apology from her estranged sister begin to arrive, each one a reminder of everything she’s lost, Hyo-young does the only thing she can: she runs.⁣
⁣
Landing in Seoul with nowhere to go, Hyo-young accepts a quiet position at Geulwol, a tucked-away letter shop run by her former classmate, Seon-ho. Surrounded by the quiet rustle of paper and the comfort of handwritten notes, Hyo-young begins to witness the power of letters to bridge distances, mend wounds, and reveal hidden truths.⁣
⁣
Then she meets Yeonggwang, a warm yet guarded webtoon artist and regular customer at the shop. Through their growing bond—and the stories of strangers who bravely write what they cannot say aloud—Hyo-young begins to confront her own past.⁣
⁣
As the seasons pass, Geulwol letter shop becomes more than a refuge; it becomes a mirror. One that reflects Hyo-young’s unspoken pain, the beauty of forgiveness, and the tender courage it takes to pick up a pen and finally speak up.⁣

Book Review: Fudge and Jury by Ellie Alexander 🧁🥧💜🔍⁣
⁣
5/5 ⭐️⁣
⁣
This is the fifth book in the Bakeshop Mystery series. There are currently 23 books in this series!⁣
⁣
I love this series so much! Each book keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait to read the next one. I would love to own them all someday and reread them for comfort. ⁣
⁣
In this book, Jules and her team are a part of the annual Chocolate Festival and I loved every page of this book! Evan Rowe of Confections Couture dies tragically after tasting some food at the festival and the whole town is on edge until the killer is found. I had a hard time guessing who the killer was because there were so many people it could be. So much happened in this book beyond Evan’s passing. Torte was remodeled, Jules and her Helen (her mom) tried to decide if they’d expand Torte and Thomas shared his feeling to Jules. I was really okay that Carlos wasn’t in this book much. I’m team Thomas and Jules!⁣
⁣
I loved the recipes in this book, the character growth and the who-dune-it mystery!⁣

Saturday bookish adventures 🧋🍩🍁📖⁣
⁣
What a fun morning with Steph and Christine! ⁣
⁣
First we stopped at Froth and Cork (I had an amazing fall harvest drink that was caramel sea salt with hazelnut and toffee pieces). Then we went to Red Wing for Hanish Bakery, A Love Affair Bookstore and ended with Lunch!⁣
⁣
I bought Into the Fading Twilight, the second book in the Starlight Grove series by Catherine Cowles 💙⁣
⁣
Now to do some yard work on this gorgeous 85° day in MN, read and make sourdough! ⁣

Book Review: The Briar Club by Kate Quinn 🔍🏠💛⁣
⁣
4/5 ⭐️⁣
⁣
I’ve had this book on my shelf since I saw the author back in 2024 and I’m glad, I finally read it! This book is over 400 pages, very dense, has longer chapters and is perfect for fall/winter. The mystery drew me in within the first 10 pages and the beautiful writing kept me invested in the book. I enjoyed some characters more than others but overall, I liked this journey this book took me on and learning about a time period I wasn’t as familiar with. ⁣
⁣
The Briarwood Boarding House is a character in and of itself and each chapter tells the story of the people living in the house, mostly woman. Pete (whose mother owns the house), Nora, Bea, Grace Arlene, Fliss and Claire each have their own chapter and this story felt like a novella, but the mystery intertwined each chapter. ⁣
⁣
Set in the 1950’s, Quinn tackles heavy topics such as socialism, communalism, segregation, racism, fertility, birth control, woman’s sports and female friendships in this time period. At the core of this book is food and meeting at Grace’s apartment for food each Thursday night. ⁣
⁣
I can’t wait to read more books by Kate Quinn as this is my first and definitely won’t be my last! Which Kate Quinn should I read next?! by @readwithash

Thank you @prhaudio for this #gifted audiobook! 🎧⁣
⁣
Book Review: 𝘍𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 by Lyla Sage (book 2 in the Sweetwater Peak series) 💗⁣
⁣
5/5 ⭐️⁣
⁣
I listened to this audiobook with @readingandteaching247 and @pages.and.stitches and it was the perfect audiobook for our reading retreat! ⁣
⁣
I absolutely love this book, and it was amazing being back with beautifully written characters and Lyla Sage’s writing! Sweetwater Peak is such a fun town, and I enjoyed Soul Searching, but this book definitely has my heart!⁣
⁣
Clark and Leith - I loved their history of knowing each other but not dating (yet). The mental health representation was so well written, and Lyla had me tearing up at her dedication at the beginning of the book. I will definitely be rereading this book and underlining so many incredible quotes.⁣
⁣
Clark has been struggling to run her family’s antique shop since returning to Sweetwater Peak, but she sees a glimmer of hope when her childhood crush asks her to fake marry her so he can inherit his family’s farm. Little do they know :) ⁣
