September 2026 Wrap Up (Yes, I know it’s mid-October, I am doing my best.) September was such a blast! Some highlights from this month: - Seeing some of my favorite authors at Booked Eau Claire with my friend Avonlea. - Co-hosting the 3rd Annual Wambolts Reading Retreat. This year was the best one yet! We had all the rainy, cozy reading vibes. - Our Romance Book Club read Extracurricular and we enjoyed it! I read 7 books (3🎧 audiobooks, 4🎧/📖 hybrids, 0 📖 physical). My top three favorites (if I must choose): Mac Meyers Needs Me Fossil Feud Experiments in Offline Dating Have you read or planned to read any of my August books? 5 Stars 🎧/📖 Mac Meyers Needs Me 🎧/📖 Fossil Feud 🎧 Experiments in Offline Dating 4.5 Stars 🎧/📖 Die for Me 4 Stars 🎧/📖 Kiss of the Black Flame 🎧 Found in Wild Sage 🎧 Love Story Short *Transparency: Background remover was used for the hand holding the coffee on the first post.

Review: Free Falling by Lyla Sage Free Falling is probably going to end up in my top books of this year! This book is such a beautiful mixture of a friends to lovers romance with a touch of paranormal and ghosties but still bringing that classic Lyla Sage humor and charm to every moment of it! We read this on audio during a reading retreat and I literally had to put down my craft supplies to go and mark quotes from this book! I’m so glad I picked up a shelf trophy just a few chapters in - that’s how much I was loving it! There is fantastic mental heath representation in this book. Clarke is such a wonderfully written character who is so well rounded and has a true depth to her. The childhood crush element to this romance was everything to me!! So freaking cute I loved it! Thank you to @prhaudio for this amazing buddy read opportunity with my friends Ashley @readwithash and Greta @pages.and.stitches ! We had the very best time listening to this book! Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 QOTD: Do you like a little spooky read in the fall? #LylaSage #paranormalromance #spookyromance #freefalling #sweetwaterpeakseries

Growing up means going on adventures to check out the newish bookstore in Red Wing, MN! Had to get out into the 90 degree sunshine in October which is insane for Minnesota! QOTD: What were you up to today?!

Our road trip to Red Wing to visit @aloveaffairbookboutique was a delightful adventure. We started our morning with coffee from @frothncork. We didn’t realize it was the fall art festival in Red Wing, but it was serendipitous for us. We also needed to get some bake goodies from @hanischbakery. Their chopped apple fritter was insanely good, wow! Even though it was 90 degrees, we had a great time. We definitely recommend making the trip soon! Oh September, you came and went in about three business hours, but you were so, so good to us. It was definitely a slower reading month for me as I juggled a new job, lots of events, and, honestly, just trying to find a little more balance in life. But even with less reading, my soul felt so incredibly full throughout the month, and I’m beyond grateful for all the family, friends, and book besties who made it such a good one. And now, somehow, fall is officially in full force here in MN. October is always a month of a lot of high highs and low lows for me personally, so I’m heading into it trying to soak up the good, give myself some grace, and appreciate the little moments along the way. So tell me, what are you looking forward to in October?

This may be my newest favorite bookstore!! What a fantastic romance bookstore tucked away on Bemiji, MN! This is going to have to be a yearly stop for us now! We had the best time meeting everyone and getting to shop till we drop! They had so many sign copies and beautiful editions of some of our favorite book! Highly recommend checking out @forbiddenlovebookstore - it’s a must see destination! And a great outing with all these ladies!

*Bookish Friend Outing* This afternoon was spent checking out a new coffee spot and catching up with my friend Ashley @readwithash! We met up at Cuppa More Pages @cuppa_more_pages in Inver Grove Heights, which is both a coffee place and a bookish exchange! This place had so many coffee options and food items! I ended up grabbing a cold brew coffee with vanilla and a chocolate hazelnut croissant! This place also has a large collection of books for readers to grab a book, leave a book! It was so much fun catching up with Ashley and exploring the books that Cuppa More Pages had available! If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend checking them out! What is your favorite local coffee spot? #bookstagram #bookishfriends #cuppamorepages #localmncoffee #gadgetgirlbooks
