Currently reading the April @goldsborobooks PREM1ER membership pick 🤩

A book collector’s dreamy monthly book subscription! Since returning back to work last August, I decided to gift myself the one-of-a-kind membership service from my favorite book seller across the pond. 🇬🇧

No frills in referrals, choosing what to select every month, etc. this exclusive membership specializes in choosing the best ONE exclusively limited numbered first edition signed book of the month to deliver, plus 15% off other Goldsboro titles. 🤩

April’s PREM1ER pick - “It’s Not What You Think - is a fiendishly clever, relentlessly gripping psychological thriller. It’s the kind of novel that demands to be read in one sitting and then urgently pressed into someone else’s hands just so you have someone else to talk about it with.” Available in the US September 2026. 📖

Have you read any gripping thrillers like this lately? 🤓

Happy Pub Day to The Hiding Season! 🏃‍♀️ thank you @randomhouse @bantambooks #gifted

“In this page-turning, atmospheric thriller, a broken woman’s new beginning is upended when she becomes the only witness to a deadly crime . . . making her the next target.” 🎯

I’m on a much deserved spring break! My goal is to just spend time with my teenage boys, catch up on housework & read (while hopefully staying in my pjs the entire rest of this week!). 💤

Currently: Tackling Alchemised & bedazzling a copy of Wuthering Heights. 🥰

👋 Just stopping by to say hello! It’s been an extremely busy year for me going back to the classroom after being at home so many years. I’m very happy being busy though!

I’ve been reading here and there…this is one of my favorite Bookstagram-able photos of 2025 I meant to share (and I crossed Red Rocks off the bucket list!). 😝

I hope you and yours are having a wonderful holiday season. What’s your favorite book of 2025? I think mine was The Bright Years!

Ps. Loved this one too of a well-known local author in my pic! Are hashtags even necessary any more on here?! 👵🏼😂 taken in Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre by @readwithjamie

Happy 1 Year @neighborbookstx Book Haul! 😻⁣
⁣
It seems like just yesterday I attended the grand opening of the closest indie store I have to my house. I happily renewed my annual membership to this sweet mom & pop bookstore in downtown McKinney’s square & got a very nice discount! 😺⁣
⁣
Which one should I pick up first?😻⁣
⁣
ALSO!! I fly out to Denver tomorrow, then Boulder…know of any indie bookstores I can support while I’m there? 😽⁣

Be still my heart (& wallet)….an affogato cafe just opened next to our local B&N. 🤩 ⁣
⁣
🚨 5 ⭐️ read 🚨 ⁣
⁣
I didn’t think I would enjoy another epistolary novel, however this one grabbed me by the heart and will forever stay there. It took awhile to get immersed in to Sybil’s world, but when I did I couldn’t stop flipping through her lifetime of letter writing. A MUST READ, thank you @basicbsguide & @tx2its for piquing my curiosity to pick this one up!!!! 🥳🥳⁣

As soon as I saw what this novel is being compared to, I knew immediately I needed to read it! Thank you ⁣@harpervia #giftedbook⁣
⁣
“With the depth and emotional power of 𝘎𝘰 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘙𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 and 𝘋𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘌𝘥𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥, a poignant and evocative debut novel from an exhilarating new international talent, based on a true story, about the heartwarming bond that develops between a grieving teacher and a student.” 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟲! 👩‍🏫 ⁣
⁣
𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨: ⁣
“One morning, a teacher disappears into the woods. As whispers fill her classroom and relatives scour the streets, she melts into a wild landscape, a darkly entrancing place where boars roam free, silver birches tower overhead, and the air is filled with the songs of ancient birds. Sinking deeper into a bed of moss and her own memories, the teacher seeks refuge from the shocking news of a favorite student’s death—a death in which she may have played an unwitting part.”🌲 ⁣
⁣
I taught Spanish for 10 years and I’ve been subbing since I left several years ago; once a teacher always a teacher. I’ll be reading this over the weekend.🥰⁣
⁣
School year is almost over!! Have any fun summer plans?! ☀️ ⁣

Hi y’all! Long time no see!! 🤓 thank you @randomhouse #partner ⁣
⁣
I’ve been on a very lengthy Booksta break, just needed to reset I suppose! It’s been nice, however I missed the book community camaraderie. 🤓 ⁣
⁣
To catch up…this year I’ve been subbing a lot at my teenage boys’ schools, traveling to Mexico to visit my in-laws, a quick weeklong taste of Italy with my family and I am now excited to visit my oldest this month as he works at Disney World. 🎢 ⁣
⁣
I’m still reading, but only 13 books so far this year with 5 of those being April reads. I’m so ready to catch up this summer!! ☀️ ⁣
⁣
I am enthusiastically starting this buzzy book of 2025 titled #TheFavorites by Layne Fargo. Are you planning on reading this as well? ⛸️ ⁣

Here’s my forgotten January “maybes” post that just doesn’t feel like my February mood anymore 🤣…⁣
⁣
A few I’m definitely keeping though like James because I’m excitedly meeting the author with @tx2its next month! 🤩⁣
⁣
See any others I should keep now that Janfinity is over? 🫠⁣

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 🤪 thank you @stmartinspress #giftedbook⁣
⁣
It’s been a busy month helping my oldest as he moved into his 1st apartment (for Disney cast members only!). Ben is one of the lucky 20% to be chosen to join the #DCP2025 community and he is working as a QSR in the African side of Animal Kingdom and LOVING IT!! 🥰⁣
⁣
I began this newly published parenting book titled 𝙔𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙩 𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙔𝙚𝙩 last year so I could be better equipped mentally and emotionally for these incredibly transformative years as I watch my three teenage sons become adults. 👨‍🎓⁣
⁣
I highly recommend it as the topics helped me let go of fear of stereotypes our culture has about when they think children become “adults” and how our generations have all differed on what’s considered the “norm”. There’s a helpful index that I know I’ll be referring back to quite often! 🤓⁣
⁣
𝗤𝗢𝗧𝗗: Have you read any non-fiction so far this new year? Today I started to listen to Lisa Marie Presley’s memoir narrated by her daughter & Julia Robert. Good so far! 🎧 ⁣
