It’s April Reads Review time ✨

Swipe ➡️ for the books themes.
I’ve had such a great reading month.

- 4 physical books
- 2 ebooks
- 1 audiobook

🌚 this one was a total surprise. I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did. I was completely blown away by the characters and their personalities that added so much to the pure storyline of the book. Heart wrenching but so beautiful.

🙅🏻‍♀️ loved this YA thriller which is totally a one sitting read. Very addictive, page turner. I hadn’t seen the ending coming. Highly recommend !

🏹 a beautiful love story that I completely fell for. The writing is incredible and provides us with unlimited quotes.

🦞my first 5 stars read of the year !! Completely blown away by the story of that little girl, growing in total isolation and surrounded by nature. There is nothing I didn’t love in that book. Would recommend again&again

🍓another cute romance book setting in Dream Harbour as this is book Nr.4 in the series. I love the Cody vibes of those books when you need a little sweetness in your daily life. This can also be read as a standalone.

🎞️ After watching the documentary on @disneyplus I had to listen/read about Shari’s experience. This book is as devastating as the documentary. Although it is worth the read, be aware of the numerous TW.

🍃 the perfect domestic thriller book with family drama (or should I say families), multiple point of view and friendship. How to understand what happened when your whole life falls apart ? Loved it.

What were yours ?

BOOK REVIEW - Memoir Edition✨

Wow. This memoir hit harder than I expected. Raw, unfiltered, and shockingly real — It’s the kind of book that grabs your heart, twists it, and still somehow leaves you full of hope.

Reading this felt like getting a backstage pass to a world so many of us (at least I) once idolized — the glossy, curated lives of young artists, only to discover the crushing weight behind the scenes. It’s a story of pressure, performance, and survival in a space where perfection is currency, and vulnerability is a liability.

From Camp Rock Spotlight to real-life spotlight- this memoir speaks louder than any stage ever could.

Highly recommend, especially if you loved I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy.

Is this an unpopular opinion 🎪

I saw so many great reviews about this book & the whole series. And I wanted to love it SO bad, especially in a circus environment (which I love).

But nothing really happens, I couldn’t stand Scarlett and was patiently waiting to read some kind of action. Turns out that past 200 pages I got really bored. So DNF it is.

I wouldn’t be mad for some spoilers if you read it 🤣 Let me know your thoughts about Caraval 💭 by @readwrox

r Andrea

Book 2 & 4 - 2026 edition

Hey book besties ! It’s time for a combined book review of Ask for Andrea & Forget you saw her by @noelleihliauthor

Ask for Andrea was fantastic ! It’s such a gripping and emotional read. The 2nd part of the book really makes you want to know how it ends. A true page turner ! The emotional side of the girls getting together, and trying their best to help the living was written in such an interesting way.

If you loved “Ask for Andrea” then you need to read this sequel ! We’re not following the same characters anymore but the concept stays the same. I loved following the girls and see how the story unfolds. But mostly the EMOTIONS can be felt through the pages, through relationships. @noelleihliauthor masters this writing. Beware of the many TW, and keep in mind the story was inspired by real events.

Let me know what book made you want to read the sequel immediately 💭 by @readwrox

Book 3 of 2026 (Book 2 will follow very soon 👀)

I’ll keep this one short as it won’t be my best read of the year..

The premises of the book were so good and I was HOOKED from the first chapter. However, we almost immediately learn what happened. The book then describes how exactly it happened via multiple pov. And believe me, it goes into details, lots of details. I wouldn’t define this book as “thriller”. It is also veeeery long (too long) for the story to end. I’m so disappointed, but ready to get into my next book! Do you have any recommendations of good thrillers ? 💭 by @readwrox

Book Besties Trope Recs!

In September the amazing @kendylsbooks decided to create a group chat to connect with more bookish friends. The book fairies GC was created and we became more than bookish friends really quickly. It’s crazy to think that a bookstagram brought us so many new good friends ❤️

We all have diffrent tastes in books, so we thought that it would be a good idea to see what each of us would recommend for diffrent tropes 🤭 We also each included our favorite trope in there!

Happy New Year to my book besties ✨!

Mine started with a reading slump I had been carrying with me for a while… until “We Used to Live Here” came along and completely pulled me out of it.

I absolutely devoured this book ! It is one of those reads you finish incredibly fast without even realizing how much time has passed.

The story is breathless and unsettling, constantly keeping you on edge. You’re always trying to understand what’s really going on, how it’s unfolding, and most importantly who’s telling the truth. Nothing feels entirely reliable, and that lingering doubt is what makes the book so compelling.

I wouldn’t say it’s truly terrifying, but it’s definitely creepy, eerie, and very effective at creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. More psychological tension than outright horror and honestly, that’s exactly what made it so enjoyable.

I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quick yet gripping read, especially if you’re stuck in a reading slump and need a story that hooks you from the very first pages.

✨BOOK REVIEW ✨

The most beautiful, yet sometimes frustrating love story of Beth & Frank 💔 & how their lives change when Gabriel, Beth’s first love, comes back to their village.

The story is set on a quiet, isolated farm 🌾, the atmosphere of the book is heavy with emotion right from the beginning. The short chapters made it so easy to keep turning the pages, even when the story itself was anything but easy.

It’s a story about love, grief, and all the messy, painful spaces in between. All the characters brought something to the story, and I mean all of them. I didn’t agree with all of the choices made , but that just made everyone feel all the more real.

It’s beautifully written, incredibly emotional. I’m still thinking about it. If the book is still on you TBR, please go read it !

Just finished Sandwich and… wow. I picked it up thinking it’d be a light, funny read at the airport— and at first, it was! The writing is SO sharp and real, I actually laughed out loud 😂 because it all felt so true. But then… the emotional weight creeps in, and suddenly I was completely still, totally moved. It hit me harder than I expected, in the best way 💔✨

Also — the kids in this book?? Obsessed. SO clever, brilliantly written. They really felt like real people.

Honestly can’t wait to dive into Wreck next 📚 @catherinewman, this was brilliant.

What’s the last book that made you laugh & cry ? Personal opinion: those are the BEST. by @readwrox
