Book Besties Trope Recs!

In September the amazing @kendylsbooks decided to create a group chat to connect with more bookish friends. The book fairies GC was created and we became more than bookish friends really quickly. It’s crazy to think that a bookstagram brought us so many new good friends ❤️

We all have diffrent tastes in books, so we thought that it would be a good idea to see what each of us would recommend for diffrent tropes 🤭 We also each included our favorite trope in there!

✨💗 Appreciation Post Part Two 💗✨

Before the new year begins I wanted to post a little appreciation post for some of the incredible girls I have met since joining Bookstagram back in May.

Every single one of these Ladies has made me feel so welcome on this side of instagram, supportive, kind, thoughtful, caring the list goes on and on….

From middle of the night chats, book recommendations, buddy reads, mental health support, general check ins and unhinged conversations each and everyone has done more for me than they will ever understand.

And to top it off they all have amazing profiles which at this point is just an added bonus.

Such Quiet Girls had been on my TBR list for a while, and I have to admit, I was initially drawn in by the haunting title and intriguing cover—a decision that absolutely paid off! And when I saw @readwrox review for this book, I had to read it right away.

The plot plunges you straight into a nightmare: ten children are abducted in broad daylight and then buried alive. The story unfolds through four points of view that slowly and expertly weave the horrifying events together.

From the very first page, the suspense is palpable. This book is gripping from the beginning, and I literally could not put it down. I was in that perfect reader’s dilemma: desperate to know how it would all end, yet simultaneously wishing the book would never be over. I truly loved everything about this novel.

⭐️ Rating: 5 / 5 ⭐️

What truly elevated this book for me was the Author’s Note at the end. Usually, these sections don’t impact me much, but here, it completely tied the entire experience together. The author discusses the true, horrific origins of the story, which she noted were even darker than what was written in the book. She also offered a personal explanation for including the element of Alzheimer’s disease in the narrative, which added significant depth and resonance.

If you are looking for a suspenseful, emotionally resonant thriller based on a chilling piece of history, look no further. I have nothing negative to say; this book is phenomenal. Highly, highly recommended.
