happy two years to us 💖 there’s no one in this world i’d rather be with, and that’s a promise! we went camping this year, got bogged in a creek and slept in the twuck right in that very same creek (pictured) eventually getting pulled out by two strangers and making our way to the right campsite. normally that would be horrible news, but it made it all the more fun for us, and another reminder of why i adore her so much. i made a song for olive that would play when she opened a card and she told me to release it - so it’s out on bandcamp and the other services whenever they decide to do it, i only just uploaded it. teehee love you 😘 by @realfakewatson

💫TWELVE POINT BUCK + WATSON + SMUSKO TONIGHT 6/8 7.30PM 💫

Twelve Point Buck are a 4 piece band based in the blue mountains region of NSW, Australia.

First started in 2014 whilst procrastinating assignments, TPB grew slowly and organically over the course of a few months evolving from a recording project into a full fledged band of quiet people who were dared to go outside for a bit.

"We try to make fuzzy music, the kind we’d like to listen to. We have been called grunge, space rock, indie, surf rock - but I’m sure you’ll agree that doesn't mean much.Once we were told by an industry person that after we’ve played for a bit longer our style should become more focused or clear. That was like 2015; we’re doing more odd stuff than ever."

TPB’s music is identifiable as having heavy, juxtaposing dynamics between verse and choruses, lofi/DIY aesthetics and thicc, catchy melodies to boogie too.

i wrote okay (alright) 10 years ago, so i thought i’d say a few words about it. i made this while i was finishing high school, living with my parents and struggling to sleep. i recorded this album overnight, headphones on, whispering into the mic, uploaded it to soundcloud and went to sleep never thinking anything of it. this was never meant to be an intentional project, it was essentially an audio journal, a way to be my own therapist. the passing of time is strange, its snail pace and then you can’t keep up. a million bands between, and a permanent hand injury stopped me making any music for years and that just lead to my mental state declining at a rapid rate. somehow i made my way back, and my friends and beautiful partner i can only thank for that. so today i’d like to celebrate coming back to a project that was always about healing from the start, be it intentional or not. i love you all for being here! xx
