POSTS STORIES REELS

Why do we act the way we do? 🤔 Why do we speak the way we speak? 💭

Beneath every thought, reaction, and habit, there are hidden layers of identity—deep, unseen forces that shape how we move through the world. Most of us live without ever questioning them, unaware that they silently dictate our choices, relationships, and sense of self.

These layers were formed to protect us. If I can cook fast, I’ll be valued in my in-laws’ house. If I never show weakness, I’ll be respected. If I always say the right thing, I’ll belong. But when these survival patterns remain unconscious, they begin to control us instead of serving us.

True self-awareness means uncovering these layers, bringing them into the light, and deciding—consciously—who we want to be. Until we do, we are simply reacting, driven by fears and desires we don’t fully understand.

Start the journey inward. The strength of your relationships, your presence in the world, and your inner peace depend on it. by @realgurpreetkaur

How much of your life are you willing to sacrifice just because of the status quo? We’re not here to ‘get by’ and JUST ABOUT get along with the people around us - your company should energise you & remind you of your positive qualities. It should encourage you to flourish. It shouldn’t drain you or make you question yourself. #introspection #company #clarity by @realgurpreetkaur

If birthdays were important to you growing up, you might naturally expect others to treat them the same way. But for someone who never celebrated birthdays, forgetting yours isn’t necessarily a sign of a lack of love - it’s just that their world and experiences are different, not wrong.

Be practical: you can have an honest conversations about the things that matter to you and you can work on problems. But don’t take it personally or carry the pain in your heart as not everything is meant as an attack.

The next question was, where did I learn that doing this made me valuable and safe in the world?

#ego #identity #introspection by @realgurpreetkaur

A recurring theme that crops up in my corporate life has been a quiet sense of inadequacy.

It tends to surface in rooms where confidence of others is strong, opinions are certain, and there is little space for hesitation or questioning. In those moments, I notice my voice change. It becomes quieter, less clear and anchored… And in that tightening, something ironic happens. In trying not to appear uncertain, I sometimes begin to embody uncertainty

Yet there are other moments where the opposite is true. When I feel grounded, my voice is steady and clear. Not because I know more, but because I am less internally conflicted in expressing what I do know.

It leaves me with a question: how do we remain secure in our voice while still forming our thoughts in real time?

Because much of what gets labelled as inadequacy is simply the process of thinking out loud under pressure.

And yet we are rarely afforded grace to be unfinished in our thoughts.

We are expected to arrive fully formed, rather than be seen in the process of becoming clear. by @realgurpreetkaur

We don’t just enter rooms, we look for our place in them. Most of us don’t even know we’re doing this

I truly love this inner work - the practice of reflecting on my mind as I do different activities, it brings much peace and a deeper understanding of what makes up my character.

This session was about tackling health inequalities across our community, will share more soon.

The two words that came to mind when I was thinking about posting this were “cringe” and “embarrassing”. Which is why I KNEW I had to post it to break that fear.

The reality of putting yourself out there when you don’t fit the mainstream definition of beautiful. Learning that the validation has to come from within. #voila by @realgurpreetkaur

You don’t need to push your way into the next chapter.
You’re allowed to soften into it.

New Beginnings is a day to come back to yourself gently.
To sit in a room where nothing is expected of you.
Where you don’t have to perform, fix, prove or explain.

Just breathe.

Breath has always been prayer.
Long before we called it technique.
Long before we turned it into a practice.

When we breathe together, something settles.
The nervous system unwinds.
The heart opens in its own time.
The mind becomes quieter without being forced.

Sound carries what words cannot.
Devotional music isn’t there to impress you, it’s there to hold you.
To remind you of something sacred and simple.
To let you feel supported, even in the tender places.

This day isn’t about becoming a “better” version of you.
It’s about returning to the part of you that has always been whole.

We’ll breathe deeply.
We’ll rest inside vibration.
We’ll allow what needs to rise to rise, and what needs to fall away to fall away.

No intensity for the sake of it.
No performance spirituality.

Just presence.
Just sincerity.
Just a space to begin again with an open heart.

If you’ve been feeling a quiet pull…
If you’re craving stillness, clarity, connection…

Come as you are.

Bring your full self.
Leave with a lighter one. by @realgurpreetkaur
