Sometimes you don’t need to push harder. You need to rebuild.

For most of my life, training was the one thing I could always rely on.

But after injuries, divorce, losing my house, business struggles, low testosterone, poor sleep, and losing the drive to train, even that started disappearing.

I reached a point where I barely recognized myself.

What changed wasn’t another extreme workout plan.

I started looking at the bigger picture.

I got comprehensive blood work.
I changed how I trained.
I prioritized mobility, functional strength, nutrition, hormones, inflammation, supplementation, and recovery.

Slowly, I started getting my energy, strength, movement, and confidence back.

Today, I can run, jump, train, move without the pain I had started accepting as normal, and most importantly, be present and active with my daughters.

That experience completely changed the way I look at health and fitness.

Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is stop ignoring yourself and start rebuilding.

If you feel like you’ve lost your energy, strength, consistency, or the person you used to be, you’re not finished.

You may just need a better way forward.

Here’s how I help clients rebuild their edge.

First, we build training around your schedule, experience, body, and goals. The focus is getting stronger, moving better, building muscle, and improving conditioning. When life gets busy, we adjust the plan so you can keep moving forward.

Then, we build nutrition around real food, enough protein, meals that keep you full, and habits you can repeat. No starving yourself. No trying to eat perfectly. No diet that makes normal life impossible.

Finally, you get coaching that adapts with you. We look at your training, nutrition, recovery, progress, and what is happening in your actual life. When something stops working, we adjust. When you are ready for more, we progress.

That is how Julio went from 321 lbs to 280 lbs in 10 weeks, while getting stronger, improving his energy, and reducing cravings.

Trying to lose fat by doing more cardio?

Fix your food first.

I’ve coached people for over 15 years, and I’ve seen this happen over and over.

Someone runs every morning, eats out at night, and then wonders why the scale isn’t moving.

One restaurant dinner can easily wipe out the calories you burned from that workout.

And trying to “burn it off” with more cardio usually turns into a bad cycle:

You train more.

You get hungrier.

You eat more.

Then you’re right back where you started.

That doesn’t mean exercise doesn’t matter.

Training is important for your heart, mood, strength, muscle, and long-term health.

And lifting is especially important when you’re losing fat because it helps you hold onto muscle.

But if fat loss is the goal, your nutrition is what creates the biggest difference.

Get your food under control first.

Then train to build and protect muscle.

Comment “COACH” if you want help setting up a nutrition plan you can actually stick to.

Want a leaner face, a tighter waist & better conditioning? 👇

The StairMaster is a great tool for burning calories and improving cardiovascular fitness — but remember, **you can't spot-reduce face or belly fat.** Consistency + a calorie deficit is what makes the real difference.

🔥 **BEST STAIRMASTER ROUTINE FOR FAT LOSS**

**Beginner (15 minutes)**
• 3 min — Level 3–4 (warm-up)
• 10 min — Level 5–7 (steady pace)
• 2 min — Level 2–3 (cool-down)

**Intermediate (20 minutes)**
• 3 min — Level 4 (warm-up)
• 12 min — Level 6–8 (challenging but controlled)
• 3 min — Alternate 30 sec at Level 9–10 + 30 sec at Level 5–6
• 2 min — Level 2–3 (cool-down)

**Pro tips for better results:**
✅ Aim for 2–4 sessions per week.
✅ Stay upright; avoid leaning your body weight on the handles.
✅ Choose a pace you can sustain with good form.
✅ Pair cardio with strength training, adequate protein & a consistent calorie deficit.
✅ Increase duration or intensity gradually instead of going all-out every session.

Remember: **the best routine is the one you can recover from and repeat consistently.** You don't need to destroy yourself on the StairMaster to get lean.

Save this routine for your next workout. 📌

Hollywood has completely distorted people’s expectations of how long it takes to build an impressive physique.

Most guys see an actor transformation and think:

8 weeks.
One aggressive cut.
One brutal workout program.

Reality?

Most of these physiques took years of muscle building before the cameras ever started rolling.

Henry Cavill in Man of Steel?
Roughly 2–4 years for most guys starting from an average base.

Chris Hemsworth in Thor?
More like 3–5 years.

Michael B. Jordan in Creed?
Potentially 1–2 years, but getting that lean and conditioned is the hard part.

Chris Evans in Captain America?
Around 3–5 years to build that amount of upper-body mass while staying lean.

Robert Pattinson in The Batman?
Closer to 1–2 years because the look is lean and athletic without requiring enormous amounts of muscle.

And Matt Damon’s recent leaner look?

Potentially months rather than years if you already have the muscle underneath and mainly need to lose body fat.

That’s the part people miss.

The bigger, fuller and leaner the physique gets, the longer it generally takes.

Your timeline depends on:

Your starting point.
Your training history.
Your nutrition.
Your recovery.
Your genetics.

And yes, in Hollywood, sometimes enhancement can be part of the equation too.

The biggest mistake?

Comparing your year one to someone else’s year ten.

You also don’t need to look like Thor to have an impressive body.

For most men, the best target is much simpler:

Lean.
Muscular.
Athletic.
Proportional.
Strong.
Sustainable.

Build the best physique for YOUR frame and YOUR genetics.

Not somebody else’s movie contract.

Want to look leaner? Stop focusing only on weight loss.

Weight loss = the scale goes down.

Fat loss = body fat comes down.

Building your physique = losing fat while keeping or building muscle.

The basics:

Calorie deficit
High protein
Daily movement
Strength training

That’s it.

You don’t need to make fat loss more complicated than it is.

Follow for fitness made simple.

You’re closer than you think.

The hardest part of any goal is usually the phase where you’re doing everything right but the results still aren’t obvious.

You train.
You eat right.
You stay consistent.
And somehow… nothing seems to be changing.

That’s where most people quit.

But progress isn’t always visible immediately. Your strength can improve before your physique changes. Your habits can improve before your life changes. Your discipline can grow before anyone notices.

Don’t mistake “I can’t see the result yet” for “it isn’t working.”

Keep climbing.

$1️⃣ Granola. Marketed as breakfast, built like dessert. A normal bowl runs 500 calories before the milk goes in. 2️⃣ Smoothies. Blending removes the fiber that would have filled you up. You drink 600 calories in 90 seconds and you’re hungry an hour later. 3️⃣ Trail mix. Nuts, dried fruit, chocolate. Every ingredient is calorie dense and none of them tell your brain to stop. 4️⃣ Peanut butter straight from the jar. Fine on a scale. Catastrophic with a spoon. Nobody has ever eaten one tablespoon. 5️⃣ Oat milk lattes. 250 calories that don’t register as food. Two a day is a kilo a month you never accounted for. 6️⃣ Dried fruit. Same sugar as fresh, a fraction of the volume, none of the water. You’d never eat eight fresh apricots. 7️⃣ Protein bars. A candy bar with 15g of protein bolted on and a 40 kr price tag. 8️⃣ Salad dressing. The salad is 80 calories. The dressing is 300. This is how “healthy lunches” stall people for months. 9️⃣ Alcohol. Empty calories plus wrecked sleep plus lowered inhibition around food. It costs you three ways at once. 🔟 Rice cakes with toppings. The cake is nothing. Whatever you’re putting on it is the whole problem. 1️⃣1️⃣ Sushi with sauces. Raw fish and rice is fine. Spicy mayo, eel sauce and tempura turn it into a different meal entirely. 1️⃣2️⃣ Anything eaten straight from a bag. Crisps, nuts, cereal, whatever. You don’t eat a portion from a bag. You eat until it’s gone. None of these are unhealthy. That’s exactly what makes them dangerous. Nobody stalls their cut on obvious junk. They stall it on food they thought was fine. 💾 save this before your next shop 🔥 Comment “EDGE” and I’ll DM you what to eat instead #fitness #selfimprovement #discipline #gym health by @realrandyv$

What happens if you do succeed!

10 things that will hold you back from building a body that still performs at 65:

1. Ego reps
If your form falls apart just to move more weight, you’re not building useful strength. Control the rep and earn the progression.

2. Program hopping
Strength and muscle are built by progressing the same key lifts over time. Constantly changing programs makes that harder to track.

3. Treating cardio like strength training
Cardio is great for your heart and conditioning, but it doesn’t replace progressive resistance training if you want to stay strong as you age.

4. Rushing your rest periods
On harder sets, resting 2–3 minutes can help you maintain performance and get more quality work in.

5. Ignoring mobility
You don’t just want to be strong. You want to be able to move well too. Keep enough mobility to train through a good range of motion and stay capable outside the gym.

6. Sitting all day
One workout doesn’t cancel out an inactive lifestyle. Keep your daily movement high and get your steps in outside the gym too.

7. Treating sleep like it doesn’t matter
Training creates the stimulus. Recovery is where you actually adapt. Poor sleep makes strength, muscle growth, energy, and recovery harder.

8. Under-eating protein
Protein helps you build and maintain muscle. Get enough across the day instead of trying to make up for it all at dinner.

9. Obsessing over the scale
Body weight is only one number. Pay attention to strength, waist measurements, progress photos, energy, and how your clothes fit too.

10. Punishing yourself for one bad day
One bad meal or missed workout doesn’t erase your progress. Get back to your normal routine instead of trying to “make up for it.”

The goal is to build a body that looks good now, but still feels strong, athletic, and capable decades from now.

Comment EDGE and I’ll send you the details on how I help men build a stronger, leaner body without living in the gym.

Stop overcomplicating recovery.

You don’t need a 10-step recovery routine after every workout.

Prioritize:
Sleep 7–9 hours
Appropriate training volume
Enough calories and protein

Then worry about things like foam rolling, sauna and stretching.

And before you jump into an ice bath after every lifting session, remember that regular cold-water immersion immediately after resistance training may reduce some of the adaptations you’re training for.

Recovery tools can help.

They just can’t replace the fundamentals.

Cutting vs bulking: your food structure should match your goal. ⬇️

🔥 Cutting for fat loss

You need a consistent calorie deficit.

Every day → high protein, lower calorie, high volume foods

Weekly → sushi, burrito, pasta, wings → easy to overeat

Occasionally → pizza, ice cream, cinnamon roll, cannoli → still allowed, just not daily

You don’t need to cut out your favorite foods. But if calories consistently get too high, you’re no longer in a deficit.

💪 Bulking for muscle gain

You need a slight calorie surplus.

Not a free-for-all. Not a dirty bulk.

Every day → rice, ground beef, eggs, steak

Weekly → burger + fries, pasta, sushi, pizza → easy way to push calories up

Occasionally → cheesecake, Crumbl, frappuccino, fast food → still included, just not the foundation

🧠 Keep it simple:

If you’re cutting in roughly a 500 calorie deficit:

→ +500 calories = maintenance
→ +150–250 more = small calorie surplus

Whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain, most of your diet should support the goal while still leaving room for foods you enjoy.

That’s what makes nutrition easier to stick to long term.
