“When the knots are tied, the strings always stay connected.” 🪢

I had the pleasure of hosting my camp friends this past weekend, where time and space felt almost illusory. Although we’ve all grown up, we’re still the same at our core. The laughter, the dance moves, the singing, the silly expressions and the serious conversations — they’re all still there, as if no time had passed at all. ⏱️🪐

I feel so grateful that we were able to carve out the time to come together, reflect on the magic we’ve shared, and create a little more of it. Some connections never unravel, no matter how much time passes. 💗

Join us for a sukkah-decorating happy hour and concert! Enjoy libations, charcuterie, live music, and the best people.

We’ll begin in the Garden, where we’ll shake the lulav and celebrate together before heading upstairs to the Sanctuary for a magical concert with @Kedmah, bringing the sounds and stories of Middle Eastern Jewish traditions to life.

This family-friendly gathering is open to everyone—whether Sukkot is already part of your year or completely new to you.

It’s true that @phish is our favorite band because of the music and the fun and the boogie and the decades on decades of memories made that cycle back with every song heard another time over. It’s also true that seeing our favorite band is the occasion to see some of our favorite people wherever we travel to see them. Despite the tired feet - it really does get better as the years go on. Absolutely reeling over this @thirdspacest glow up with thanks to @artwithaheart_ and the MANY people who helped to make 300 birdhouses to make our fence a whole lot less “fencier” and a whole lot more colorful! 🌈 by @rebpink

Got to #makeartaboutit with @jewishstudioproject at @thirdspacest this past Sunday. The commentator, Rashi, writes how during the receiving of Torah at Mount Sinai the people “saw sounds” they experienced a twisting of the senses in a moment in which they could receive what was normally impossible to comprehend. This idea of “seeing sounds” has always made me think of the Grateful Dead lyric “the sky was yellow and the sun was blue”. Shavuot is one of the three holidays in which the ancient Israelites would make a pilgrimage to the Temple. The description of what happened during those days seems most comparable to a scene from a music festival - with shakedown offerings and communally-created celebration and ritual resulting in ecstatic joy and celebration. A little creative “first fruits” reflection resulted in this colorful offering. by @rebpink
