Hey Baltimore. Hope to see you at the show Oct 22. Tix on sale now @thirdspacest

We’ll be playing the entire new album as well as other tunes from the other records and telling stories and I’m sure a joke or two.

Last night, our Building Bridges cohort gathered around the table for a potluck dinner in the sukkah—and it was one of those evenings that reminded us what this work is all about.

Good food. Meaningful conversation. Lots of laughter. And the simple but powerful experience of being together.

Building Bridges is rooted in learning, listening, and building relationships across our different identities and experiences. Last night, under the sukkah, those relationships just got a little deeper.

This is how we build community—one conversation, one connection, and sometimes one very full potluck table at a time.

Join us for a sukkah-decorating happy hour and concert! Enjoy libations, charcuterie, live music, and the best people.

We’ll begin in the Garden, where we’ll shake the lulav and celebrate together before heading upstairs to the Sanctuary for a magical concert with @Kedmah, bringing the sounds and stories of Middle Eastern Jewish traditions to life.

This family-friendly gathering is open to everyone—whether Sukkot is already part of your year or completely new to you.

Wednesday, September 30 | 6–9 PM

Sukkah Decorating & Happy Hour at 6 PM in the Garden
Concert at 7:15 PM in the Sanctuary
Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh

I signed the Wall of Wisdom at one of the most gorgeous arts spaces we have been to yet: Third Space in Baltimore @thirdspacest

“Sharing our stories is the glue that holds the world together.
Music is Life, Never stop singing.”

Thank you @rebpink and all the Third Space community for hosting me and director @sarataksler to show and discuss our film How Saba Kept Singing.

Bookended my day yesterday with Jewish-related content. I began with the always amazingly packed @jnfusa annual breakfast, awed by the breadth of what they do in Israel and fascinated by speaker Shabbos Kestenbaum, the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit by Jewish students against Harvard. Had lots of interesting meetings in between and then got to end my day at The Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh, where I saw the film How Saba Kept Singing about musician Avi Wisnia's Saba (Grandpa). His Saba was able to survive many years in Auschwitz because the Nazis loved his singing and because he had a guardian angel in another prisoner who literally kept his name off certain transfer lists. Wonderful story of David Wisnia, his astoundingly positive outlook on life, loving family, and the importance of music to his survival, both literally and figuratively. Lovely discussion afterwards with Avi and Director Sara Taksler who has known the family for many years. Many thanks to Rabbi Jessy & @thirdspacest!
