Anna Margolin did exactly the *opposite* of what society and others wanted of her — unapologetically.

How can we grieve and still hold space in our hearts for others’ pain?

I’ve known and admired these cats @iamj3po & @jamiedonaldeblen since we were wee little NYU Jazz punks, and now they’re crushing it all over the damn world. Always grateful to make music or break bread together — and especially to get to feature them on this new record. “Lid fun a Meydl” w/ @iamtemma & @benbenabraham is out now on @adhyaroparecords and there’s much more to come… ⛈️ by @rebtsudek

So grateful to my friend and brother @benbenabraham for exploring the meaning of expression in our heritage languages, and to his cousin @mozdeb for her gorgeous lyrical adaptation of Anna Margolin’s original Yiddish “Lid fun a Meydl”. Now available everywhere from @adhyaroparecords
