New purchase for the studio today! Picked up this 1985 @rolandglobal JX-8P alongside a Kenton Control Freak. Eight voices of analogue polyphony, all sounding great. Not the best cosmetically, but a light restoration will smarten it up some I’m sure. Can’t wait to get this set up and rolling out some fat basses and lush chords 🎵 🔥

Went for a look at the This Is Jungle takeover at @rwabristol today. Saw some interesting artefacts, photos and records on display that show how much influence Bristol artists and collectives such as Full Cycle, Ruffneck Ting and D Minds have had on my favourite genre of music. Time for a dig through my records after studio today!

Active. Starting 2026 as I mean to go on with a great week of mixdowns, sound design and mastering.

Studio’s clean, tidy and ready for work. Excited to see what this year will bring, let’s go! Leon

Life in the studio has been pretty epic this year. Lots of the usual mixing and mastering of course, but also been designing a lot of sound too. These videos are from a recent sci-fi sample pack 👽🛸

More sound design missions this week! Went down to see Ben & Guy down at @collectorcaveuk who kindly let me design some radio sounds using a sweet old school Technics radio separate. Ideal for those 90s hip hop radio tuning sounds!

They’ve got loads of awesome hi-fi, records and music kit for sale in the shop, and they know their music inside out too. Winner 🙌
