Been lots of fun, and a great learning experience to spend the last nine months making music with plants for the Kindred: Our Roots Entwined multi disciplinary arts project alongside a massively talented group of artists.

Five tracks were recorded as the original soundtrack for the film using a combination of melodics taken from plants at locations across the UK.

After this, it was a pleasure to put on two workshops at the studio in Bristol where we went through the production process, made music using the Bamboo M unit, alongside some foley recordings that were turned into a unique sounding rhythm track.

The film premiered last week in front of a full house, and overall the whole project couldn’t have gone any better. Always enjoy working on long term projects, and this was no exception!

Got to give a special shout out to everyone who’s been involved or attended a workshop, and of course to @aceagrams for funding the project. The exhibition and film will be showing at the Hub in Lichfield until the 10th April if you’d like to see it in person, and we’re working on putting the film and soundtrack online.

Big thanks to @fleur_bea, @katharinesian, @alexandrajaynefilm and @medanceuk for being incredible to work with on this. On to the next one! 🪴🔥🙏

A few of the wonderful photos taken yesterday by @moments_by_mann as part of my project looking at using dance and music as a means to deepen individual and collective connections to the natural world.
