Developed exclusively for this North London home, engineered European Oak, character grade, a custom colour that changes with the light. Mixed-width boards create a gentle rhythm beneath the interior, while subtle shifts in tone emerge throughout the day. Hand-coloured in our Cheshire workshop, the finish draws inspiration from naturally weathered timber, bringing depth, movement, and quiet warmth to every board.⁠

In this space, the floor does not simply exist—it defines. Rich, smokey hues of Antique European oak pull the eye downward, grounding the architecture with quiet majesty. Its surface, marked by 300 years and softened by time, catches the light in ways no machine could replicate. It is texture and tone in conversation. These are not planks to fade into the periphery. They are central—intentional. A material once shaped by the seasons, now shaping the space around it. Through careful installation and preservation, this oak becomes the architecture’s voice, setting the emotional register of the room itself.⁠

And that's a wrap on Decorex 2026. Four wonderful days of conversations, new connections and a shared appreciation for exceptional materials and thoughtful design. We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and took the time to discover The Submerged Wood Collection. A particular highlight was seeing Elodie Delonca, CEO of our partner Triton Timber, join the panel *Beyond the Surface: Designing Floors for People and Planet*, contributing to an important conversation about the future of sustainable design. The interest in our new collection has been incredibly encouraging, and we leave Decorex inspired by the people we've met, the ideas we've exchanged and the possibilities ahead for 2027.
