You asked for it, here it is. Back at it again with the COCON cryptid count. This time, we've got a couple of other affiliated collaborators showing us what they've also been able to stir up. If you got a crypted problem, yo, I'll solve it. Check out the hook while my DJI dissolves it!

Recce Boonie

Messed around with my sewing kit a bit today and this is what i came up with. Took an old multicam boonie and first sewed some fishnet on the top, allowing for vegetation to be attached easily, as well as adding some depth which will aid in camouflage by itself. This provides a middle ground between a normal boonie, where vegetation can only be added via the MOLLE-esque webbing on the sides, which doesn't stay on well or hide your head terribly well either, and a full on ghillie hat, or even one of the leaf hats. (Which are great)
Next up, I attached a piece of VS-17 panel to the inside, which is hardly original except that this version allows it to hinge open by undoing a button, and allows the user to utilize both colors of the panel. Additionally, I left a gap on either side of the rear stitching, allowing the concealment of small SERE oriented items, like razors, handcuff keys, maps etc. in an unassuming piece of clothing. Finally, i did the paperclip mod to the front, which just makes the hat a bit more pleasant to wear, and will keep shit out of your face when you have vegetation on the hat.

You should mess around with your kit and modify it once you have a little experience LARPing with it. If you decide you don't like it you can always put it on ebay as CAG used and sell it for 20 times what you paid. by @red_ryder.18

Mod your kit. Even small additions/ changes can make a big difference for usability, and tearing something apart to put it back together will always lead to more familiarity, whether it’s nylon, clothing or gats.
Also get in the gym or else any difference in kit will be a moot point.

Camo patterns don’t matter. Route selection, movement techniques and using cover/ concealment/ angles matter. Having something to break up your outline and picking colors wisely definitely helps though

Go out in nature with your dudes and work on some skills besides just shooting, you can do that on your own. Go fuck off in the woods and learn about your equipment, your body, your mind, how to move, how to be quiet, how to move around challenging terrain etc. shooting is a little piece of what makes a guerilla or even a sniper. by @red_ryder.18

RIFLE OVERVIEW/ INITIAL IMPRESSION
First of all, this is not a review. I haven’t shot this rifle past 100 yards, let alone anything considered “long range” however I know a decent amount about precision rifles and have shot this in the cold and wet, as well as having direct examples of competitors to compare this to.
Hands down, the bergara is the nicest factory rifle I’ve handled. The action is insanely smooth, the extractor and ejector is flawless and ejected every round in tall grass and snow with no issues. The fluted bolt in the wilderness version allows dirt, carbon and ice a place to go without interfering with the action, and the cerakote finish on the barrel protects it from rust and scratching. The trigger is very nice and crisp although I do prefer a 2 stage for this application. So far the rifle has grouped very well even in suboptimal conditions, and I’m very excited to stretch the legs out on this soon. taken in Virgin River by @red_ryder.18
