Blood Angels Ancient in Terminator armour.

Seems like I timed it well getting the current Terminator project finished with the new edition Blood Angels hype!

This model has been my favourite one I’ve worked on in this current batch. As you can see the banner is from the 2nd company, and I tried to copy it as closely as I could to the original art.

The main body is from the Terminator Captain kit, and the head from the Sanguinary Guard set, along with plenty of extra Blood Angels bits from @dragoon__gaming .

As with all my Blood Angels I’ve stuck with the 2nd Warhammer 40000 colour style, which I love.

Dead Ork skull on the base (again very fitting for the moment), and roped off with a selection of green tufts from @siegescenics .

A fully enjoyable model to build and paint!

Arming the Blood Angels Captain.

Magnetised arms and torso to give you that choice of weaponry.
I put this option on most of my characters and squad leaders, with rules changing often and the new edition coming up, it could always be useful.

It doesn’t take too long to do, choosing the right magnet size, and carefully drilling holes into each part.

Blood Angels upgrades available at @dragoon__gaming and basing tufts from @siegescenics

When you can’t decide which weapons to choose, give yourself and option.

With in game changes happening, magnetising the arms for multiple choices is a great way to stay on top.

A customer commission piece I carried out for a client, he can’t now decide depending the enemy he’ll be playing with to go for!

Filling in with a personal project while I wait on a delivery of Blood Angels parts.

I lived playing Warhammer fantasy back in the day and some of the models were so good, I’m going do some old favourites and updated versions like this Knights Panter grand master from the Empire.

At one point I think I had eveh old world army expect orcs!

360 of the 1st Blood Angels Sanguinary Priest

1 of 3 Blood Angels Sanuinary Priests

This is the 1st of 3 Sanguinary Priests I’ll be posting over the next few weeks, all 3 were part of a commission for a themed Blood Angels army.

The colour schemes based on Corbulo’s from the 2nd edition, rather than all white armour.

It was a change to be painting white, and I think the grey cloak breaks it up nicely. Painting the narthesium/exsanguinator was nice to do and add a bit more colour.

I’ll post a video of each and all 3 together in due time.

Blood Angels assualt troops, close combat, jump packs, and that 2nd edition look.

A final post of the recent commission work for the Death Company and assualt squad with jump packs.

If these don’t give the 90s and 2nd edition vibes I don’t think much will! I picked up a load of plastic jump packs of eBay a good while back, a mix of Death Compmay, Blood Angels and Vanguard styles, now I see and they have shot up in price.
And for everyone asking the fit and glue on perfectly!

A mix of Space Wolves, Black Templars, Blood Angels and Blood Angels parts from @dragoon__gaming all went into making these, cutting away the knee fins and hip armour plates make them look just like scaled up 1st born marines (proper space marines).

All my Blood Angels are painted in the 2nd edition style and I just use the Angels of Death codex for the colour schemes and designs.
I think my favourite parts I painted to give that look were the lighting bolts on the knee pads and yellow trims around the jump packs.

I’ve got more work lined up and as always will be in this style. I really want to do some sanguinary guard, but the current models are so bad, maybe I’ll have to figure something out…

Basing topped off with @siegescenics desert themed tufts.

Painting bones and skulls - The 3rd video of the Death Company series is now available on my Patreon channel, this one showing how I paint bones and the bone coloured Aquila on my Blood Angels space marines.

I have a couple more videos to go to add onto the now 3 available, showing all the colours and elements of my Death Company.

There is a link to the Patreon channel on my page bio, or you can simply search for us there.

Using the @the_hobby_halo for the separate parts and set up during the sub assemblies and painting.

The full squad of Blood Angels Death Company assault marines with jump packs together.

Ready to go find someone called Horus, they look ready for business.

With all my Blood Angels I style them on the second edition aesthetic and colour scheme, I like the big bold colours and hope that comes across on these primaris size space marines.

There’s lots of different kits used, from Space Wolves to Black Templars, early edition jump packs and custom parts from @dragoon__gaming

These were part of a commission, and I hope to do some more “black rage” themed models in the near future, watch this space…

All my models have their bases topped off with multiple different tufts from @siegescenics .

Last model of the Blood Angels Death Company assualt squad with jump packs.

As with the others, Space Wolves Blood Claws set was used for the main body, with Black Templar weapon arms, and a selection of Blood Angels upgrades from @dragoon__gaming were used.

Finishing pieces was the old school jump pack.
