POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

“This is why I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.” — Matthew 13:13 ESV

Jesus’ parables are more than memorable stories. They reveal the truth of God’s kingdom and invite us to listen closely, not only to understand with our minds, but to allow His words to reach our hearts and change how we live.

Matthew 13 reminds us that none of us sees spiritual truth clearly on our own. We need God to open our eyes and help us understand, and when He does, He calls us to turn from sin and put our faith in Jesus.

Throughout this semester, we’ll study the parables and ask God to give us eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts ready to respond. Whether you have followed Jesus for years or are simply exploring what you believe, you are welcome here!

Looking for a church in Lubbock? We'd love to meet you! 👋

Redeemer is a gospel-centered, missional family of disciples making disciples. We're a church made up of people from all walks of life, college students, young professionals, families, retirees, lifelong Christians, and people still exploring faith.

We believe church is more than attending a service, it's knowing and being known, sharing meals, and opening God's Word together. Community here looks like celebrating joys, carrying burdens, and helping one another follow Jesus in everyday life.

We love Lubbock and want to see the gospel impact every neighborhood, workplace, classroom, and home in our city. We also have a heart for the nations and are committed to making disciples both here and around the world.

As God continues to grow our church family, we're excited to be building a South Campus so that we can continue to reach more of our city!

Whether you're new to Lubbock, searching for a church home, or simply curious about Jesus, there's a place for you here.

Join us Sundays at 8:30, 9:45, or 11:00 AM!

You don’t have to have all the answers to open the Bible with a friend!

Whether you’re exploring who Jesus is or have followed him for years, there’s something valuable about reading God’s Word, asking questions, listening, and discovering what it means to follow Him together!

Recently, Aiden and a student he met on campus had a conversation about Jesus that led them to sit down and read the Bible together! God is always at work through moments like these!

If you’d like to invite someone to read with you but aren’t sure where to begin, join us for our Discovery Bible Study training. We’ll practice a simple way to read a passage together, make room for questions, and consider how to respond to what we’re learning.

Come learn with us! Sign up at the link in our bio.

So much of the way our pastors and elders care for our church happens in moments most of us will never see!

Today, on Pastor Appreciation Day, we want to thank them for faithfully praying for our church, walking with people through hard things, teaching God’s Word with care, and leading with humility. From quiet conversations to weighty decisions, you continually remind us that this church belongs to Jesus and help us stay focused on His mission!

Redeemer, we want to encourage you to take a moment this week to thank a pastor or elder in person or write them a note! Share a specific way you’ve seen them serve or how God has used their care and teaching in your life. Let’s encourage them and pray for them and their families as they continue to shepherd our church! 🫶

“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.” — Romans 6:4 ESV

Each person pictured publicly proclaimed the good news of what Jesus has done in their life, through His death and resurrection, their sins are forgiven, and they have been made new in Him.

We are so thankful to witness these moments as a church family, to cheer, celebrate, and thank God together for each person and the new life they have in Christ!

You don’t have to prove you’re good enough to belong to God.

In the parable of the tenants, Jesus challenges the idea that doing the right things or having a good reputation can make us right with God. All of us need a Savior, and in His kindness, God sent His Son.

Through His life, death, and resurrection, Jesus makes a way for us to be forgiven, adopted into God’s family, and given new life. We can stop trying to earn our place and trust the One who has made a way for us to belong.

Gather with us this morning as we continue through the parables of Jesus and remember the hope we have in Him!

Join us for worship at 8:30, 9:45, & 11:00 am.
