The 14,000 ft Peak Challenge is complete! 6 amputee hikers set out to summit Uncompaghre Peak Wednesday morning, and all 6 did just that. We’re pumped for our hikers and awesome volunteers who summited with us. More to come from this event soon! #redefined #prosthetics #14ers #uncompaghre

Redefined Prosthetics was proud to present @amputeebladerunners a check to cover one complete prosthetic running leg for a child today. This organization provides free running prosthetics to children that are not normally covered by medical insurance. ABR uses their expertise in the field of prostheses to provide amazing resources to children who have an amputation.

We thought it fitting to have our first video released from our 2026 14,000 ft challenge to focus on the unsung heroes of amputees, specifically children amputees. In putting together these events that we host, almost all of our energy is put towards making sure every amputee is taken care of and given the opportunity to push themselves. We have come to learn that it is just not the amputees that take something away from these events.

Our youngest hiker this year was Vada and she was accompanied by her mom, Jessica. Both of them had their own journey up the mountain that was just amazing to be a part of.

It was an honor to be a part of both Jessica and Vada’s journey and having that accumulate at the top of Handies Peak.

On a lighter note, we have established a very specific mountaineering method called “Shut up and breathe in your oxygen” in Jessica’s honor. We expect it to become common practice in the mountaineering world here any day.
