Asher Stephens | OF | 2027 Prospect | Gainesville High School Perfect Game National OF #315 | Georgia OF #24 6’0” | 195 lbs | R/R Stephens continues to build an intriguing offensive profile in the 2027 class, combining a physical right-handed bat with athleticism and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways. At 6-foot, 195 pounds, there’s noticeable strength throughout the frame, but he pairs that physicality with athletic actions and moves well for his size. At the plate, Stephens shows a balanced right-handed swing with the ability to generate leverage and drive the baseball with authority. In this look, he gets into his lower half well, creates separation and stays through the baseball with a strong finish. There’s present power in the swing, and when he gets the barrel out front, he has the strength to do damage. The ball jumps off the bat with carry, giving him legitimate extra-base and home-run impact. Stephens is more than just a physical power bat. Stephens hit .500 with a .684 OBP and 1.601 OPS, collecting six hits, two doubles and a home run while crossing the plate nine times. The 2027 outfielder was a constant threat every time he reached base, swiping eight bags and consistently putting pressure on opposing defenses. At the plate, Stephens showed the ability to find barrels, drive the baseball for extra bases and control the strike zone while reaching base at an elite rate throughout the tournament.
