We are delighted to be hosting a special screening of the short documentary film ‘Framed’, produced by film makers ArtScape and featuring our current exhibiting artist and former Wapping Group member, Rob Adams.

Taking place on Saturday, October 10th, the doors open at 2pm, screening begins at 2:30pm, followed by a Q&A session with the artist and film makers from 3-3:30pm.

... it's not quite goodbye for Open Art 2026 artist, Heather Jolliffe!

The standard of submissions to the Red House Open Art was, as always, extremely high. We were struck by Heather's ability to capture colour and play-of-light in her painting, 'New Forest Tree', set in a landscape that is instantly recognisable to those of us living in and adjacent to the New Forest. Heather is the well-deserved winner of this year's 'Manager's Choice' and we look forward to hosting her solo exhibition in 2027.

For anyone coming to my family workshop @redhousemuseum on Wednesday 29th July, due to supplier issues I have had to pivot slightly and we are now using a different method to dye our bags... tie-dye! Still exactly the same outcome, just a different way of getting there.
It shouldn't be too messy (it's really hard to film and dye at the same time 😅), but wear old clothes, as you should for any of my workshops!
*Other colours than brown will be available* 😅
Morning session is sold out, but tickets still available for the afternoon! by @redhousemuseum
