Detroit showed OUT for this year’s Shimmer on the River, the signature summer fundraiser hosted by our friends at the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy — and what a magical evening it was! ✨🌊 From an epic David Bowie tribute that had the crowd on their feet to dancing on the beach, boardwalk fun, adventure park thrills, and delicious eats — the entire riverfront lit up with energy, music, and joy. 🌇🎶💃 Families, friends, and neighbors all came together to celebrate and support one of Detroit’s crown jewels — our beautiful Riverwalk. 💚 Proceeds from the event help keep the Riverwalk and parks clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone, all year long. ✨ The 67th Annual Ford Fireworks lit up Detroit! ✨ On Monday, June 23, hundreds gathered at Hart Plaza to claim the perfect viewing spot for one of the nation’s best fireworks shows over the Detroit River. Produced by The Parade Company, the Ford Fireworks has become Detroit’s ultimate summer kickoff — and this year’s show was the biggest and best yet! Despite the 90-degree heat, families, friends, and visitors of all ages came out to celebrate under the skyline and enjoy the dazzling display.
