I’m going to try and keep this post short. After I completed the art for Africatown Plaza last year; I said I was going to take a step back from art to focus on myself and my transition into blindness. My eyesight is almost completely gone as you may know. I’m down to only shadows and light. It’s challenging to make the type of art that I make and not see the process; but here I am… I’ve just completed another piece for the Odessa Central clinic. Having mounted and poured a lot of art, I was able to go off of feell, but still needed a second set of eyes to make sure my measurements and pour was clear. It hurts not to be able to see the finished piece or film the videos like I used to , but I hope you can and here it is…#OutOfFokus #BlindArtist #PublicArt #BlackArt #HistoricalArt
