When @helloo.ash stepped into this Kilvani Designs piece, they didn’t just wear jewelry, they embodied freedom. They made the bold decision to forgo pasties because they believe, just as I do, that all bodies deserve to exist without shame. Feminine bodies should not be censored. They should be celebrated, honored, and seen.

Kilvani Designs has never been about accessories. It’s about transformation. It’s about reclaiming your power, your sensuality, your masculinity, your femininity, or rejecting those labels entirely, and expressing the truest version of yourself.

One of the greatest gifts I can receive as a designer is hearing someone say they feel transformed when they put on one of my designs. That is the purpose behind every chain I handcraft.

For Week 16 of my research, I experimented with cyanotype on biomaterials, aaaaand the results are straight out of a dream!

It wasn’t perfect on the first try. My initial test on an uncured piece with indigo didn’t quite take. But for round two, I pivoted: I used a sponge application, a shorter drying time, and added real pressed flowers before exposing it to the sun for 2-3 hours. The final result? A sheer, hand-embroidered biopolymer dress that made it to the runway!

Also, I want to try mixing the cyanotype directly into the liquid biopolymer. If you have experience with agar plates and cyanotype please drop your tips, thoughts, or suggestions in the comments. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

I don’t usually share personal things on here, but this week, at 24, I took custody of my younger sister. Funny how a random phone call at 8:30 on a Monday morning can completely change your life. I always told myself the only child I’d ever raise would be her—and now here we are.

We’re stepping into a new chapter together, focused on healing, growth, and giving each other the life we deserve.

Here’s to new beginnings. 🤍
