Tips for my besties who are trying to spend less on groceries: 1. Grocery Shop Online/For Pick or Delivery Being able to see my total the whole time keeps me from accidentally turning a $150 order into a $250 order. 2. Pick your splurges. There are a few things my family is loyal to, like Nutella, but for everything else, I’m grabbing the cheaper option and nobody notices. 3. Let the sales decide. I don’t start with recipes anymore. I see what’s on sale first, then figure out what we’re eating that week. 4. Stop the “one thing” trips. You know the ones. You go in for milk and somehow leave $57 poorer. I used to be so guilty. 5. Have a Sunday veggie rescue day. I roast any veggies that are on borrowed time and blend them into a soup or pasta sauce. It saves food, saves money, and makes me feel like I have my life together. Bonus: Keep food visible. If I can’t see it, I won’t use it. A tidy fridge, freezer, and pantry help me use what I already paid for before it goes bad. #GroceryTips #FamilyBudget #mealplanning
