Day 362 - Last time playing my guitar, so I sang this song for my wife and kids. Wanted to post it here as a keepsake for them and whoever else would enjoy it.

I love playing this song and it will always remind me of my beloved wife and our beautiful children.

These days feel heavy, painful, and filled with worry. Thomas and I are thinking nonstop about our brother, our beloved @pete_deville and his family - and you all know the reason.

It’s with a strange mix of gratitude and heartbreak that we step on stage at @pumpehuset on January 3rd to perform the KOLLAPSE & GRAVA piece for the first time since its premiere at @roskildefestival this summer. It hurts deeply that Peter can’t be there, and we keep wavering between the need to honour the piece… and the reality of doing it without him.

But we’re doing this with your support behind us. We’re doing it for Peter. To build a space full of force and presence, something we can send straight to him!

A massive thank you to @ravnviktorravn from Demersal, personally chosen by Peter to step in and help Thomas and me bring this performance to life. That’s a huge responsibility, and we’re grateful he’s taking it on.

We hope to see you on January 3rd at Pumpehuset.

2024 is over and though most of the world is shit, I still managed to enjoy being alive most of the time.
- I visited 13 countries this year and drove through Europe 4 times.
- I went on a magical tour with @townportalband and got to hang out with @thrice, and made new friends along the way (I'm looking at you @kevin.caoimhin.galland, @christianankerstjerne and @madsogstrup).
- I got to play the last @telosband show ever and it was bittersweet - thank you for letting me be a part of that.
- I released a record with my brothers in @kollapseband and we went on a fantastic tour with @demersalband and I made even more new friends 🖤
- Went to Poland for the first time to talk about my research.
- Went to @copenhell for the first time (big thanks to @rebel_.grrrl and @omegavonvega for that 🖤)
- Played a show at @acolossalweekendcph that felt really important.
- Saw Rammstein for the first time with my dad!
- Went to Italy with my wife and kids for a great adventure.
- Got to see my best friend get married and be his best man 🖤
- Published a book with my best friend as well after 2 years of hard work.
- Got to see another good friend (@sebastiantr) marry the love of his life 🖤
- Went to Crete with my kids to celebrate my mom turning 70!
- Went on a tour with @eyeshxc and made even more new friends - and had a lot of fun 🖤
- Won an award.
- And through it all, I tried to have as much fun as possible with my family (not always an easy job) and try to be a good dad.

I hope 2025 turns out all right. That I get to spend time with my family. That I get to go on tours. That I get to spend time with friends. That I get to make new friends. That I get to survive another year.
Thanks to everyone I hung out with, travelled with, played with, worked with, argued with, wrote with, and lived with 🖤

It is no secret that 2022 was a bad year for me, so I'm pleased with saying that 2023 turned out better - well enough to even make a misanthrope like myself consider it a good year.

I played at When @copenhell Freezes Over with @kollapseband
I toured with @latenightventurerocks and @dirtforge (and made new friends),
I spent as much time as possible with my family,
Played a few shows with @monkeyokay,
Had a fire next to my bedroom window that ruined large parts of our apartment,
Played great shows with @oxxmusic (and got to see @hrvrkband's first show),
Saw one of my best friends get engaged and then celebrated said engagement with pizza and wine (also got asked to be his best man!),
Went on television at @arte.tv and talked about my research,
Got to play @spotfestival,
Played a few shows with @telosband and had fun,
Went to Berlin with one of my kids to hang out,
Got to go on the radio at @radio_24_syv with @omegavonvega and talk about my emotions (thank you)
Played @copenhagen_metal_fest with Kollapse and Telos,
Played at @aalborgmetalfestival for the first time,
Got to meet @kenmodenoise (which was amazing!)
And a bunch more.

Next year I'll be touring with Kollapse, hanging out with Town Portal all over Europe, release an album with Kollapse, hopefully be releasing an album with Monkey Okay, playing a little bit with Telos, and just generally trying to play, write and perform as much music as possible (while still trying to do my day job and seeing my family).

Thanks to everyone who've I hung out with this year and who made this year fun. I'm too busy and not attentive enough of my surroundings, but I am very happy that some people still want to spend time with me - I am thankful for that and will try to do better in the coming year. I still appreciate everyone single relation I have, and I hope I get to spend time with a bunch of awesome people in 2024.
