This is China ❤️ Okay I’m supposed to be posting all my China content in Jan but once I got this video idea in my head I couldn’t resist putting this together! A summary of my past 3 trips to China over the last 3 years. I hope you enjoy and let me know if you’ve heard of any of these places before! 🥳 Places featured in this reel: 1. Chongqing - China’s real life ‘cyberpunk city’. Having heard so much hype on social media, I didn’t quite know whether it was really as cool as the pictures or if it was just internet hype. In the end, Chongqing captured my heart 🥹 Whilst some of the areas are definitely overhyped (I’m looking at you Hongyadong and Libiza station 👀), I’d say overall this metropolis of a city built right into a mountain has a unique charm that just cannot be captured in videos and photos, making it a worthwhile destination to visit. There are also a few day trips from the city you can do as well, including a hike around the ‘3 Natural Bridges’ for incredibly views of the Wulong Karst mountains ❤️ 2. Guangdong - with the capital city of Guangzhou, Guangdong is situated in South China, and has a wonderful subtropical climate. Known as the birthplace of Cantonese cuisine, it is a must visit for foodies! You will also see incredibly well preserved Lingnan architecture in this region, with lots of little villages easily accessible from Guangzhou centre where you will see how buildings were adapted for the warmer environments, and unique features such as intricate curved rooftops ❤️ 3. Hunan - the province home to the incredible ‘Avatar Mountains’ and Ancient villages of Furong and Fenghuang. Those of you who have been following me for a while I’m sure will need no introduction to the wonders of Hunan, but in case you’d like a refresher, this Province is one of China’s most visited destination for local and international tourists alike. Zhangjiajie’s stunning unique rock forest alone is reason to visit, but with the high speed railways, you can also tag a trip to Fenghuang’s incredibly well preserved Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, and Furong’s incredible ancient village sat atop a waterfall. ❤️ #ChinaTravel #Chongqing #Guangdong #Hunan

7 Rose Gardens you must see 🌹 A staple of British summertime, these gardens are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever been to. Happy exploring!💕 1. Mottisfont Gardens (@mottisfontnt ) - whilst tickets cost extra during peak rose bloom, I must say these gardens are a true fairytale come to life ❤️ 2. Haddon Hall (@haddonhall ) - for Jane Eyre fans looking to walk the steps of Thornfield, rose season makes the perfect time to visit this gothic manor. 3. Asthall Manor (@asthallmanor ) - only available to visit on select Open Days, this is still one of the prettiest manors I have been able to visit. A wonderful little oasis 🌸 4. Great Chalfield Manor (@gchalfield ) - tucked away in the Cotswolds, this manor features a beautiful rose covered Tudor courtyard as well as sprawling grounds to wander when you’re done admiring the roses 5. Hever Castle (@hever_castle ) - wonderful to visit all year round, however especially magical to see the 5000 flowers in bloom 💐 6. Polesden Lacey (@polesdenlaceynt ) - the former home of socialite Mrs Greville, this manor and gardens are the backdrop to many lavish celebrity parties of the 20th century, and perfect to step back in time for a couple hours 7. Bodnant Gardens (@bodnantgardennt ) - came for the laburnum, stayed for the roses. The only Welsh gardens to make it to this list, but oh boy is it worth a visit.
