Spending Weld Wednesday with the Jon and this nice little weld with a bit of a downhill slope. You guys always ask for unedited videos so here you go. No timelapse, no music overlay, no filters. Just lowered the exposure so you can see the weld, wire melting, and nozzle movement. Today Jon is wrapping up all of the smaller components for the chassis he’s currently welding up. Really excited about this build from Sisco’s Fab out in Texas. This is a Brazilian C14 imported into the US. Brandon & his team are running our Dropmember system up front and our complete Backhalf system in the rear. This also allows him to keep the front half of the factory frame in tact preserving the factory VIN. Important for a couple of reasons, especially since this truck was imported. Getting fired up this morning with Mary and a look at another weld on our signature product: The Dropmember. This pass starts out nice and flat and then transitions to a vertical drop. Welding up our flagship product: The One and Only Dropmember. Mary is under the hood for these two welds. The Dropmember has over 25 different welds or passes and they are typically done in a specific order to maximize efficiency while also allowing ample cooling time for heat dissipation to prevent any warping. #porterbuilt #pbfab #dropmember #weldwednesday

Another 1961-64 F100 Unibody chassis done and ready for powdercoat, plumbing, and wiring. This is our Level 3 airbag chassis engineered from the ground up with our front and rear Dropmember systems. All of our complete chassis builds include a version of our Inner Frame Stiffener that incorporates an adjustable transmission mount along with a carrier bearing mount. This chassis features our inboard 4-link which keeps all of the rear components between the frame rails providing as much room as possible for larger wheel and tire combos. Not gonna tell you who the lucky customer is, but someone is getting a frame with some welds by the OG himself. Nate’s getting a little time under the hood today. He’s been tag teaming this chassis with the team the last few days. He’s welding the Dropmember in place now and will move to the Inner Frame Stiffener next. It’s always crazy watching how fast he welds.
