2nd visit @peachesrecords and it is still one of the most unique spots in my opinion. All sealed copies of new and old pressings. Used to be a diner, turned into a record store. @themamamiax used to work here and you can see some of the No Limit plaques on the wall. When going to #rockefellercenter and you take the subway, you have no excuse not to visit @roughtradenyc . Small section of CDs but a decent selection of rap classics and modern releases. Lots of vinyl and other music related merchandise. Usually I mention accessibility and parking. Although not the traditional form of transportation, the subway made it easy to visit. #cdcollector #recordstore #vinylcollector #diggininthecrates

#recordstoreday at the core is typically not for me. Not a big vinyl collector and I just hate the resellers aspect. What was supposed to be a way to support independent record stores and reward them with exclusives has turned into badly executed money grabs. Every now and then, there is a release that makes me go out on RSD. @allthatmusicep was one of the very early participants of RSD and I this record store holds a special place in my heart. A lot of my collection came from ATM and was a place I looked forward to visiting as a kid (1360 Lee Trevino location). When I moved back to El Paso, it was my go to spot. Glad I was able to do a store tour video, get a copy of Dr. Dre’s “Compton” instrumental version but most importantly, support All That Music & Video. #cdcollection #cdcollector #diggininthecrates #recordstore

@bookoffusainc is an amazing spot for all media. Books, Comic Books, Manga, Video Games, Toys, Movies, Music, and more! This place covers it all and is always well organized. Locations are starting to pop up across the US, so keep an eye out! Prices are fair and I love the fact that they have a $1 CD section, that’s where I pick up albums I might only want for one track or if you get lucky, you will find a diamond in the rough.

Lil Zane is a good example of a $1 score. Whatever category you put him in, he was a solid rapper. Hates on because he wasn’t “hard” or a “street” rapper, he was still more technically sound than 80% of rappers who came out in the past 10 years.

@ziarecords a.k.a. Zia Record Exchange is a chain of record stores in the Southwest. Multiple locations in Arizona and Nevada, definitely a must stop for any physical media enthusiasts. Music, Movies, Comics, Toys, Clothing, Board Games, Books, Video Games, etc. I was impressed with the variety of Hip-Hop CDs. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. This is just 1 of 4 locations in the greater Phoenix area.

@stinkweedsrecords in #phoenixaz is a great record store. Inventory favors vinyl, but there was great titles in the CD section. Easy to access off the main road, plenty of parking in the back which is a huge plus.

Part 2 of my tour of @trillphx . CD selection was crazy! I don’t typically dig in the vinyl section but surface level, I saw a lot of great pieces there. I will leave that to the vinyl collectors. They also had a great selection of cassettes as well. @comicdudenyc next time I’m in town and go, I will get some more footage or pictures of their toy selection. The MF Doom cereal bowl and spoon was really dope!
