✨️COSPLAY HACK✨️ Easy & cheap way to craft realistic leather-like EVA foam belts and straps 😌 Materials used: - 2mm EVA foam ➜ you need twice the width to get those beautiful round edges - Contact cement + PPE ➜ let the glue dry for 10-15 min - Heatgun + aluminum foil + PPE ➜ to add texture - Foam primer ➜ to seal the foam - Acrylic paint + weathering ➜ to add dimension - Topstitch thread ➜ to mimic real leatherwork - Buckles ➜ to finish the look Optional : flexible varnish and non-slip elastic bands to glue on the back so the strap stays in place This was the last piece needed for my Nami cosplay from One Piece, Stampede movie version, and I'm in love with the result! 🇬🇧 This photoshoot almost didn’t happen! 🙉 The weather forecast was announcing nothing less than the apocalypse, with heavy rain, thunder, and strong winds. But in Brittany, the weather can drastically change in a matter of minutes. So we took the chance and hopped in the car, with hopes and prayers Sure, we had to adapt our schedule, couldn’t use most of our props (no mimic either 😭), skip our third location and ditch our sunny flowery moodboard, but I'm so glad we were crazy enough to gamble on this trip! The RAW turned out amazing, and I can't wait to see the final result and share it with you guys 🥹🩷 Many thanks to our helpers @made.in.orlais & @enkyi.cos who carried us and froze their asses off to make the perfect pics. We don't deserve you guys 🫂. Cosplay reveal of my sweet Kaoruko 🍰🩷 I had such a great time designing and sewing this costume, so I’m especially happy to share with you the final result 🥹 She’s such a dear character to me, so I’ve been especially ciritcal about myself (I see lots of stuff to upgrade before debuting her at Japan Party - wig and make-up). 🇬🇧 Here's what happens when one photographer, cosplayer and helper share the same braincell ✨️ After all, when it snows in your city once per decade, you have to make the most of it! This is the cosplay skit that got me 1st place at @arttoplay 's cosplay contest last month 🥇🥰 I’m super happy to share with you what I consider to be my best cosplay performance so far, in every aspect 🥹. I did almost everything by myself. The writing, drawings (exept the backgrounds), video editing, voice acting, most of the vfx, audio composing, etc. I didn’t count the hours, it was a labor of love 🩷 But I wasn’t alone. Huge thanks to my friends @alexandrechassaingslhb for helping me with the voice recording and lending me his voice for the narrator. 🇬🇧 I’m often asked if I’m taking cosplay commissions, and here’s one of the reasons why I do not 😌 Cosplay is an expensive hobby, and making a cosplay yourself will most of the time cost you more than buying it ready-made. Of course, I could have chosen more affordable materials, simpler ways to sew and build my props. For example, skip the staff’s liquid core, skip the wig’s ventilated hairline, skip pattern matching the gold trim, skip resin casting the gold and red button, and so on. I could have done all that to lower the bill. But all this engineering and attention to detail is what makes my art my own 🤗 Behind every handmade cosplay are tons of hours, skills, dedication, and passion. Even the ones that may seem simple at first glance! 🇬🇧 Surprise 🙈💖. Focus 2024 will always have a special place in my heart. It was my first ever photocon and I couldn’t have dreamt of a better experience. It was such a delight to be part of this event, meeting lovely people, some became friends, and creating beautiful memories together in outstanding locations 🥹 So here’s my tribute to the photographers I was lucky to work with during those 3 days and their hardworking assistants. Can you name all the characters these props belong to? 😏✨️ I've been playing with metallic leaves for 6 years now, and it's still my favorite way of applying gold on props 🥰. 🇬🇧 Frieren’s staff base done and ready for priming 🔥 I'm enjoying the process a lot so far, and I gotta say I'm super proud of the result. It's my first real foam work, so I was quite anxious during the dremeling process. But with lots of patience, look how beautifully it turned out! And the best part?
