Low mow May: Our first mow of the year with our battery powered mower leaves large swaths of wildflowers for pollinators to enjoy along with the dedicated gardens.
We love moving around our yard and need to reduce ticks, so this is our solution.
Other ideas include letting the dedicated garden areas expand into the lawn, and shifting toward natives. Also, never using any kind of insecticide - they are a blunt instrument that kills every form of insect or bug in their path.
