Thank you, 2024, for all you brought in your suitcase.

I have a difficult time writing these end of year captions, because I can’t remember a time when I relaxed as a person, and I admittedly still find most of my self worth through my achievements. So, here’s a list of things from my 2024 brain followed by a much more important list of things from my 2024 heart. Thanks for reading this if you did! I’m still learning that I matter just by existing.

From My Brain:
I finally became a Director of Education (a role I’ve always wanted at a theatre I really believe in).
I booked two television series, a national commercial, and several other commercial spots.
I acted in 5 shows.
I worked in 6 states.
I directed a full production.
I jumped a train.
I had my portrait done.
I stayed busy.

From My Heart:
I saw my mom for two weeks.
My dog has been really happy this year.
I’m closer to my friends than ever.
I have the best boyfriend in the world for me.
I danced so much. I love dancing so much.
I’m pretty sure being happy just makes you hotter.
Meow meow I’m a cat person too now.
4 beach trips?! Woweee!!
I administered a lot of bandaids, but I’m pretty sure I’m the one who was healed this summer.
I still play pretend for money, when will they catch on?!

I just am in love with this life. To everyone that shared a little bit of this life with me this year- thank you so very much. 🩵🫧

A Little Reminder to Hard on Herself Shelli,

This year alone, we:

Lived in 4 states & Worked in 6
Booked 4 commercials
Showed Cowboy half the country
Officially became a playwright
Made a bunch of scary moves our b*tch
Made loved ones a priority
Acted in the most rewarding show thus far🍎
Sang and danced on that damn stage again

And as always, stayed pretty kind and very true to ourself. 2022, you did good.
