So, this is my family. 7 months of endless laughter, arch-supporting footwear, stupid-to-genius-to stupid again ideas, trying a billion unsuccessful bits and landing on 3 solid ones, the science of timing (good and bad), after-school brunches, early morning greetings, matching hoodie sets, bickering and giggling and obnoxious inside jokes, dancing and singing our little faces off, an absolute whirlwind. 7 months of HOW LUCKY ARE WE THAT THIS IS OUR JOB?!To every single person that took part in making the Underground Rep happen, thank you from the very bottom of my very full heart. The incredible Barb and Sam. Our creative team and directors and choreographers. The literal band of rockstar musicians onstage with us. The designers, HELLO ITS ALL CRAZY IMPRESSIVE?! Our whole tech team and backstage crew of literal angels. Our brilliant understudy cast.To every person, tall and small, who came out to visit the burrow, the colony and the big kids’ room - thank you for providing us enough joy to save Christmas 5 years in a row. And a special threat to Candy, Jordan, Juan, JT and Blake. You’re stuck with me now. Sorry about that. This is the closest to making actual magic I’ve ever come. “O you should not rest between the elements of air and earth but you should pity me.” One magical night of Shakespeare, I think the way Billy intended it. Outside, sweaty and threatening rain - and yet hundreds of ATLiens showed out to revel in the joy that is Twelfth Night with us.
