4TH PLACE WINNERS🏅🔥

Our relay team gave it their all and secured 4th place in the Women’s Relay category at HYROX Vegas 2025! Here’s a recap from start to finish: we pushed, hustled, and left it all on the competition floor.

Proud of this team and the energy we brought, next time, we’re coming back even stronger! 💪🏼

Recently, I’ve been focusing more on incorporating functional athletic-based training into my workout splits. This approach has really transformed how I approach my workouts, especially when targeting both my lower and upper body. Functional training isn’t just about lifting weights; it’s about engaging in exercises that directly benefit my daily life.

Here are five key benefits that I’ve personally experienced from integrating functional training into my routine:

1. Improved Daily Functionality: Functional training emphasizes movements that mimic real-life activities, such as squatting, lifting, pushing, and pulling. By training these movements, individuals improve their ability to perform daily tasks with ease and efficiency.

2. Enhanced Core Strength and Stability: Many functional exercises engage the core muscles to stabilize the body during movements. This helps in developing a strong core, which is essential for posture, balance, and overall stability.

3. Prevention of Injuries: Functional training focuses on improving balance, coordination, and flexibility, which are crucial in reducing the risk of injuries during daily activities or sports. By strengthening the muscles around joints and improving movement patterns, individuals can better protect themselves from strains and sprains.

4. Increased Muscle Balance and Coordination: Functional exercises often involve multiple muscle groups working together in coordination. This helps in developing balanced muscle strength and coordination, which is beneficial for overall movement efficiency and injury prevention.

5. Better Joint Mobility and Flexibility: Functional training typically includes exercises that promote joint mobility and flexibility, such as lunges, squats, and rotations. Improved flexibility can enhance range of motion, reduce stiffness, and contribute to better posture and overall mobility as individuals age.

By incorporating functional training into your fitness routine, you will not only improve your physical performance but also enhance your quality of life.
