“For Africa, we believe in living, we believe in loving, and we believe in celebration.” Honestly, I’m not sure anyone summed up AFRIBALL 2026 better than that. From the music and performances to the incredible fashion, the awards, the conversations and the sense of community in the room. This wasn’t just an event, it was a celebration of culture, creativity, identity and connection. Newcastle’s @theassemblyroomsnewcastle was filled with talented creators, entrepreneurs, artists and changemakers, all coming together to recognise the impact Black African communities continue to have across the Northeast and beyond.
