The University of Oregon’s Sports Product Management Masters Program and LaunchBreak hosted an engaging discussion about Pivoting into the Sports Product Management Industry. Our panel was moderated by LaunchBreaker Shana Sumers, a professional public speaker and pro football player. In this clip Shana asks Maddie Haden about her journey into the industry and how getting a degree from SPM was the missing piece she needed to round out her great experience and land her at Nike. @shanabetalking @maddie_haden @uosportsproduct

Being an athlete is about more than competing.

The habits, mindset, and resilience built through sport shape how women lead, problem-solve, and show up in every stage of life. Donna Orender, founder and commissioner of UPSHOT League, knows this firsthand.

That’s why Prospect HQ and LaunchBreak are committed to helping women athletes translate their experience into success far beyond the final whistle.

We set out to build a one-of-a-kind space for founders building in women’s sports 🚀

The first ever startup intensive did exactly that. But don’t just take our word for it. Listen to what our community had to say!

Had a bit of fun with our own tunnel walk on Demo Day aka Game Day for women athlete founders ⚽️🏀🎾🏐

Last week we wrapped up the first-ever Demo Day for women athletes building in women’s sports or adjacent markets. It was the culmination of LaunchBreak’s 8-week startup intensive, in partnership with Mira Ruder-Hook Consulting, sponsored by Earlystone.

It was incredibly moving to watch women athletes turned founders pitching what they are building to a room of investors, strategic partners, and community members cheering them on. These founders are building the foundational products that will shape the women’s sports ecosystem and beyond. I’m so excited for what the future holds for these founders!

Who better to shape the future of women’s sports than women athletes?

Thank you to the village that supported us every step of the way leading up to the program, throughout the program, and cheered them on at Demo Day!
