Before arriving at Rikers Island, Rondo Bonilla had very little support. Like many young people impacted by the justice system, he faced challenges that made it difficult to envision a different future. Everything began to change when he found community through THREESIXTY. Through mentorship, life skills programming, and consistent support during his time at Rikers and after his release, Rondo gained the tools, confidence, and relationships needed to build a new path forward. Today, he’s employed full-time and using his experiences to give back and help others do the same. His story is a reminder that when young people are met with compassion instead of judgment, and opportunity instead of obstacles, transformation is possible. Every day, THREESIXTY works to ensure more young men have access to the mentorship, emotional support, reentry resources, and leadership development they need to break cycles of incarceration and build brighter futures. Transformation doesn’t end at release—it begins with the right support. At THREESIXTY, we’ve created a space inside Rikers Island where young men are encouraged to heal, grow, and discover what’s possible for their future. Through mentorship, cognitive behavioral therapy, life skills workshops, leadership development, and one-on-one coaching, participants gain the tools to build confidence, strengthen communication, and prepare for life beyond incarceration. But our commitment doesn’t stop at the facility’s doors. When young men return home, we continue walking alongside them by providing reentry support, career guidance, connections to employment, housing resources, legal services, and ongoing mentorship. Our goal isn’t simply to help participants transition back into their communities—it’s to help them thrive within them. We believe every young man deserves the opportunity to become a leader, pursue meaningful goals, and build a future defined by hope rather than circumstance. That’s how lasting change happens: through consistent relationships, practical support, and a community that never stops believing in their potential. Always excited to share more about @ThreeSixty, the initiative I started a few years ago out of Rikers Island dedicated to rehabilitating incarcerated youth and helping them reintegrate into the community. ThreeSixty has changed so many lives including mine and it’s been an honor to be able to provide opportunities & resources to those who might not have it. Even before he was at Rikers Island, Rondo Bonilla had minimal support. The ThreeSixty program provided him with mentorship and community and taught him crucial life skills— while at Rikers Island and after his release. The program alum now has a full-time job and the chance to help others. ThreeSixty is an initiative out of Rikers Island providing mentorship, life coaching and re-entry tools to young men ages 18–21 years old who are incarcerated (we will expand to young women soon). Weekly interactions and meetings focus on creating an environment filled with love where everyone can feel seen & heard, learning life-building skills, & creating unbreakable bonds that are critical during their time incarcerated and instrumental to their re-entry into our communities.
