Rikers Island can break a person’s spirit—but we believe it doesn’t have to.At THREESIXTY, we believe every young man deserves the opportunity to be seen, supported, and empowered to build a brighter future. That’s why we work alongside young men at the Robert N. Davoren Complex (RNDC) on Rikers Island, building relationships rooted in trust, respect, compassion, and consistency.Through mentorship, cognitive behavioral therapy, life skills workshops, one-on-one coaching, and leadership development, we help young men strengthen their confidence, build emotional resilience, and prepare for life beyond incarceration. Our support doesn’t stop at release—we continue walking alongside participants by connecting them with education, employment, housing, legal resources, and a community that believes in their potential.We know that lasting change happens through meaningful relationships. Before arriving at Rikers Island, Rondo Bonilla had very little support. Like many young people impacted by the justice system, he faced challenges that made it difficult to envision a different future.Everything began to change when he found community through THREESIXTY.Through mentorship, life skills programming, and consistent support during his time at Rikers and after his release, Rondo gained the tools, confidence, and relationships needed to build a new path forward. Today, he’s employed full-time and using his experiences to give back and help others do the same.His story is a reminder that when young people are met with compassion instead of judgment, and opportunity instead of obstacles, transformation is possible.Every day, THREESIXTY works to ensure more young men have access to the mentorship, emotional support, reentry resources, and leadership development they need to break cycles of incarceration and build brighter futures.Want to see the impact for yourself? Nearly 2 out of every 3 young people released from incarceration are rearrested within two years. Too often, young men return to the same barriers they faced before incarceration—limited access to education and employment, unstable housing, untreated trauma, and a lack of support. These challenges can make it incredibly difficult to build a different future.At THREESIXTY, we believe those outcomes are not inevitable.Through mentorship, life coaching, cognitive behavioral therapy, leadership development, and reentry support, we help young men at Rikers Island build the skills, confidence, and support systems they need to thrive long after they leave incarceration. At THREESIXTY, we don’t just offer programs—we build relationships that guide young men through incarceration and into life beyond it.Inside Rikers Island, participants engage in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), group workshops, mentorship, and one-on-one coaching designed to strengthen communication, conflict resolution, emotional resilience, and career readiness. Partnerships like these made a lasting impact.We were proud to partner with @ConEdison to support young people at Rikers Island through THREESIXTY. Together, we provided participants with valuable career exposure, real-world skills, and the confidence to begin preparing for successful reentry and brighter futures.This collaboration was about more than job readiness—it demonstrated what is possible when organizations come together to invest in young people. So grateful to share Thanksgiving dinner with the young men in my @threesixty program inside Rikers. I surprised them with suits and told them, “Let’s show up as leaders.” For many, it was their first time ever wearing a suit but it was more than getting dressed up, it was confidence, leadership, and a reminder that they are more than their past. Watching them stand taller was such an emotional moment. I couldn’t show all their faces because of protocol, but trust me…every single one of them showed up with pride, dignity, and so much heart. 🦃❤️Happy Thanksgiving from my @threesixty family to yours. Thank you @melbasharlem I love you so much, @saucebosswings for always coming through, @chefkwamespattypalace the patties were amazing & @mindyweiss for the decor your generosity made these young men feel seen and valued.
