I used to think transformation would feel inspiring. Like some beautiful decision you make to become a better version of yourself.

Mine didn’t start that way.

Mine started with tragedy.

Moments into my wedding, my sister-in-law died. No wedding. No fun party. Just a girl in her wedding gown in the ER.

For a long time, transformation looked nothing like becoming my “highest self.”

It looked like surviving the day.
Then another one.
Then another one.

Eventually, something shifted.

The pain didn’t disappear. The loss become a sort of gift.

I began transforming what I lived through into wisdom, resilience and a completely different way of living my life.

That is what I mean when I talk about turning pain into purpose. It’s alchemy at its core principle. Deciding that what happens doesn’t get to decide what happens next.

The transformation comes if you stay the course of alchemy and purpose. I promise. 🦋✨
