Thought I'd post this before August comes to an end.

I turned 44 on the 3rd of August. I look at the mirror and the battle scars are more visible than they have been before. It's no lie when I say it's not easy reconciling with that reflection sometimes, but I am trying to embrace it and know that I have to gracefully accept it.

Grateful to be alive.

I have started wearing the silver I have collected over the years. Each piece has a fond memory of a place or person and sometimes both. The origins of some of the things I am wearing here are Afghan, Persian, Tibetan, Nepalese, Baltic, Tuareg North African, Greek, Scottish and Pakistani. I love and value each and every piece and am grateful I got to collect them.

Took some color with me to Paris.

It is hard to be festive and cheerful when there are so many people whose lives have been devastated by everything going on in Pakistan. That said, a little celebration and color may offer some short lived respite and perhaps a little healing for those who feel the collective weight of the broken hearts and shattered souls of so many of our own who are silently suffering.

I missed Basant this time. I couldn't relate to the hype and excitement and it felt like a blessing in disguise to be away from it all but while in Paris, I wanted to wear this beautifully crafted and stunning ode to Lahore and Punjab designed by my pal @iamfahadhussayn

Fahad, I absolutely loved your Fashion week collection. I felt inspired and immensely proud.
