I know “romantic” is too small a word to describe God’s love. How do you even quantify an eternal state of love? Maybe the closest we get is through the church. No wonder Paul could say: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? … For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:35, 38–39) And this is the kind of love He poured into His own—His bride, the Church. So much so that He gave His Son for her, and His Spirit to her as a seal. In this series, we’ll be exploring the Bride of Christ—the Church—and what it truly means in this time: for the prodigals, for the hungry, and for the lost finding their way home. by @rejoice.onize

Whew! Long, vulnerable post here. 😅 You cannot pour new wine into old wineskin, it will burst. Recently a friend told me that and I keep wondering what it meant. I think sometimes we have certain mindsets that are so steeped into our identity, we have worn them like second skin and don't even know. Until a situation or series of events comes along to remind us of it again. I see that as God's mercy. To be fully known by a God who wants you. Who sees you and heals you. If you have ever been in this shoes and felt like the afterthought, backup plan or second choice, I hope you remember a God that sees you, chose you and wants you fully. I hope I remember it too on days when these thoughts want to cave me in. Okay bye. by @rejoice.onize

This is one series I cannot wait for us to delve into. Last year, the Lord put a burden in our hearts for the church and we spent 7 days raising incense for His Bride. Since then, I have felt the barrage of light come to my spirit of who we are meant to be. Often times, we get so used to the ritual of church-going that we can lose sight of what it really is. And then one on end, you keep hearing about the church and assume its just like any other religious gathering, and this makes us cancel it out altogether. But what if it is more than that? What if the church is not just a place where we sing, worship and hear sermons? If for years, you have battled with understanding the church, then get ready to receive much light! Isaiah 62:6-7 [6] I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent, [7] And give Him no rest till He establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth. One of the core pillars of Etsem is to pray for the church - the body of Christ. And whilst I really wanted to push it off until January, there has been a sense of urgency to make this open call now. For it is God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. For the many times I cringed while writing this to post, I think of the many women like me, paralyzed and frozen in time because of the choices they've made in the past. Before the world has even pointed fingers at them, they've pointed four at themselves. It is time to move on and accept the past for what it is, the past. Maybe the pride is in the false perfect image you had of yourself. The one where you could do no wrong in your eyes. Lol. You will be okay. God's mercy is waiting for you. by @rejoice.onize
