Sand Lake Cabin is where the family comes to slow down. Sunlit rooms, easy transitions between inside and out, and a fresh take on the original cabin's charm make it a lakeside retreat built to be enjoyed for generations.

Set the scene for a dramatically atmospheric evening. 🕯️

Halloween-inspired entertaining doesn’t have to mean traditional orange-and-black décor. Think moody interiors, warm lighting, rich textures, natural elements, and a few unexpected details that create an inviting atmosphere.

From candlelight and layered materials to dark foliage and collected pieces, the goal is to create a space that feels elevated, welcoming, and a little mysterious.

Because seasonal decorating can still feel timeless.

Have you ever bought beautiful pieces for your home, only to find that they don’t quite work together?

That’s where a designer makes the difference.

A designer looks beyond individual pieces to consider scale, proportion, layout, flow, materials, and how you actually live — helping you make the right decisions before costly mistakes happen.

Good design isn’t about having more. It’s about knowing what belongs.

A room can feel 'off' despite beautiful furniture and décor.

Why? It's not just about choosing beautiful things, but how they work together. Editing, rearranging, and reconsidering can make all the difference. A well-designed room feels right, not just looks beautiful.

One of the biggest mistakes I see homeowners make? Falling in love with one piece and buying it before thinking about the room as a whole.

Then everything else has to work around it — and suddenly you’re trying to make the furniture, finishes, lighting, scale, and layout fit together after the fact.

Good design starts earlier.

Before selecting individual pieces, I look at the space, the proportions, the way you live, and how all of the elements will work together — so the finished home feels intentional rather than pieced together.

That’s one of the reasons clients hire a designer: to help make those decisions before the expensive mistakes happen.

If you’re planning a home project, we’d be happy to help you think through it from the start.

We’re so excited to share that Renae Keller Interior Design has been featured on Houzz! ✨

Our Lakeside Contemporary powder room was featured in “8 New Powder Rooms With Personality” — celebrating spaces that bring character, texture, and thoughtful design into one of the smallest rooms in a home.

For this powder room, we leaned into charcoal textured wallcovering, a deeply veined Cambria surface, book-matched walnut cabinetry, a faceted mirror, and staggered amber pendants to create a space that feels bold, intimate, and quietly sophisticated.

Every element was carefully considered to make the most of this compact space — proving that even the smallest rooms can make a memorable design statement.

Thank you, Houzz, for featuring our work! 🤍

Your home should work for the way you actually live.

Before choosing a sofa, selecting finishes, or creating a mood board, thoughtful interior design starts with understanding you — your routines, your lifestyle, what you already love, what isn't working, and how you want your home to feel.

These are five questions I ask my clients before a project begins because the best interiors aren't simply beautiful. They are personal, functional, and thoughtfully designed around the people who live in them.

Thinking about renovating or redesigning your home? Let's start with the right questions.

A well-designed room doesn’t happen by simply choosing beautiful pieces — it’s about knowing how those pieces work together.

From selecting the right furnishings and materials to considering scale, proportion, placement, and the overall flow of a space, every decision plays a part in creating a home that feels cohesive and personal.

As an interior designer, I look beyond the individual pieces to understand the bigger picture — and create a space that feels thoughtfully designed around you.

A beautifully designed home is about more than choosing beautiful pieces. It’s about how everything works together.

From your lifestyle and personal taste to scale, proportion, materials, furnishings, and the way each space connects, thoughtful design considers the whole picture.

At Renae Keller Interior Design, every decision is intentional — creating spaces that feel personal, cohesive, and beautifully considered.

There’s something special about the finishing layers of a room. ✨

One of my favorite parts of the design process is choosing textiles and soft rugs — the pieces that bring warmth, texture, and comfort into a space.

From the weave of a fabric to the feel underfoot, these details can completely change how a room comes together.

Because luxury interior design isn’t just about how a space looks. It’s about how it feels to live in it.

Color does more than change how a room looks. It changes how a room feels.

From the calm depth of blue to the grounded richness of olive, the warmth of rust, and the optimism of yellow, every color brings a different energy to a space.

The right palette can influence the mood, atmosphere, and overall character of your home.

Good design isn't just about choosing beautiful colors. It's about choosing colors that feel right for the way you live.

Which color would you bring into your home?
