Hi All, Virginia here (Ren's Daughter)

🎸 Join us in Honoring a Lifetime of Craftsmanship

A team of Filmmakers is creating a Documentary about Master Luthier Ren Ferguson, whose artistry has shaped the sound of acoustic guitar history in America.

From his years at Gibson, to his time with Fender and Guild/Cordoba, and now at Ferguson Guitars, Ren’s instruments have become part of countless musical journeys.

We’re gathering archival footage and performance videos that capture the sound and spirit of Ren’s guitars — in any era, any setting.

If you have video content or know of a performance featuring one of his instruments, we warmly invite you to share it with us. Each contribution helps preserve a story worth telling.

When you have a story to tell and want an heirloom that embodies functional art, that's where we come in. Built to pass on.

A champion hunting dog and a shared family passion of quail hunting brought this 2026 Honduran Mahogany Early Auditorium to life and boy does she like to sing!

Happy 80th Birthday, Dad.

Eighty years of hands that have shaped wood into voice.
Eighty years of instinct, grit, humor, rebellion, refinement.
Eighty years of building not just instruments — but standards.

To the world, you are Ren Ferguson —
Master Luthier.
Builder of icons.
A craftsman whose work has passed through the hands of legends.

To us, you are Dad.

I’ve watched you chase tone the way some men chase fortune.
I’ve seen you hold a raw piece of wood and already hear what it wanted to become.
You didn’t just build guitars — you built possibility. You built integrity into every brace, every curve, every quiet decision no one else would ever see.

You taught us that excellence isn’t loud.
It’s patient.
It’s relentless.
It’s honest.

At 80, you’re still building. Still dreaming. Still refining.
And now, as we work to tell your story through this upcoming documentary, I’m realizing something powerful:

The guitars were never just the story.

The story is the hands.
The standards.
The courage to do it your way.
The family you built alongside the instruments.

Eighty years in — and the tone is still getting better.

Happy Birthday, Dad.
The world is better because you built in it. ❤️ by @renfergusonco
