Sun bear appreciation post ☀️🐻 also whatever the hell the last one is 🤫

Bears are so cute, and I think sun bears deserve more hype. Love them, their fur patterns, and expressive faces 👁️👁️

Meet our lovely Storyboard Artist and Revisionist, Renee Cheung!

Renee Cheung is an award winning animator, screenwriter, educator, and craft enthusiast. Genres like science fiction and fantasy inspire them to develop stories that push and empower characters. Her animated thesis “Second Swing” is a fantasy climate short film that explores themes of forgiveness and creating a better future. They love bringing characters and worlds to life in motion and text, and from working on Stolen Hearts, Renee is excited for audiences to hop aboard the heist train. You can also catch her crocheting, upcycling clothes, and collecting Oshawotts.

A (happier) take on the twins at the carousel animation trend 🎾🦴🐿️🥣

Meet Walter! And his brother Archie in the following slides :)

I dogsat these sillies for a week and had a getaway of energetic playing, hard naps, sniff-investigative walks, and hunger quenching meals.

“Do Not Disturb” voiced by @laurenwitdasher 🐻, @allen100percent 🦗, and my brother 😴. Thank you SO much for helping me bring these characters to life!!!! You made this lil skit happen 🫶

Captions:
Quinton: cricket....x12
Maple: *snore* x 7
Maple: RRRUUUUAAAAAAGHHHHHHH!!!!!!-
(cue background set noise)
Quinton: O-KAYYYY, UNDERBITE!!!
(Boom mic rattles)
Quinton: We all get night terrors round here, but no need to share your dank musty breath too.
Maple: My retainer is in the mail!! And besides, you know I’m a pescatarian-
Quinton: *sigh* Oh save us all...
Maple: Says the one who’s chirping all night long-
Quinton: Well that’s rich. Coming from the entire cruise ship under the hill...
(hill set piece crashes to the floor)
///Off screen///
Maple: You’re just upset because nobody responded to your calls.
Quinton: How am I supposed to compete with your foghorn of a snore? And screaming-
Maple: Bears don’t scream- Bears roar!
Quinton: *sigh* You never cease in breaking stereotypes.
Maple: You too...little bug lonely....

Using @byjessicaelena ‘s challenge as excuse to repost the Spring Companions ™️ from my reel for day 3’s prompt Spring!!! 🌷🌼

I identify most with Kita and Ginger because I may or may not be making paper chains under the counter at work with scrap receipt paper. And spring allergies do hit hard as per always 🤧 thanks for everyone’s comments on who they got last post 🫶 we can all use a little buddy

A bit of a belated Valentine’s Day anim, thinking a lot about human relationships with friends/family/loved ones, and a ton of me just messing around with Toon Boom’s calligraphy brush 😗

Wishing everyone a lovely March 🌟🍿

Lots of rejections, oodles of ghostings, and one interview request that ended up being a system error 🥀 It sucks, but lacking an animation job doesn’t make me unworthy of experiencing joy, banned for seeking inspiration in other mediums, or revoke my artist card altogether :’)

I’m grateful to have worked/be working on so many projects of others, and excited to be working on my own that’s not too tied to perfection 😼

Oshawott patches! 🩵💙 It’s been very freeing to do tactile art for a change from the screen!! But I also have been wrestling so bad with the thread tension on this project - we’ll get ‘em next time

+ a little Pingu tribute 🐧
