Yesterday, I was amazed at the strength and courage of my Penn State student intern, Amber Starr, as she spoke on her experiences with sexual harassment and violence in the workplace. Amber wrote a piece of legislation I plan to introduce, updating the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act to require companies to investigate claims of workplace discrimination. It’s time that individuals who take part in this type of misconduct are held responsible, and I applaud Amber for bringing her proposal to the table. by @repconklin

We have a duty to oppose hateful and destructive behavior, especially when it comes from a fellow elected official. Rep. Bernstine’s misconduct is exactly the opposite of how we should strive to be in service to all Pennsylvanians.

Rep. @malcolmkenyatta I am sorry you have to deal with this. We are with you, my friend. by @repconklin

We have a duty to create safer communities by addressing domestic violence and holding abusers accountable for the harm they cause.

I know firsthand the pain of losing a loved one to domestic abuse. Rates of violence will only decline when we prioritize the needs of victims and survivors above their abusers. We must stand with them and be part of the overall solution.
