Today, I took the first step towards Kristi Noem's impeachment, and called on the Judiciary Committee to open an investigation into her lawlessness.

The American people will have justice and we will hold Noem accountable. I’ll make sure of it. by @repdeliaramirez

Since April 8, I’ve been demanding Noem’s immediate resignation.

If she doesn’t, I am ready to take further action against her abuses of power. by @repdeliaramirez

Every death at the hands of ICE, every family separated by ICE, every orphan created by ICE is Kristi Noem’s responsibility. She must come to the committee and account for ICE's unlawfulness. by @repdeliaramirez

Today, we are deeply alarmed that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) agents raided the home of a sitting Member of Congress, our friend and colleague, Representative Ilhan Omar.

As the institutions meant to preserve democracy and fairness under the law are undermined, our task is clear. We must continue fighting ICE in our communities and building support for the Reimagining Safety Act to dismantle DHS and abolish ICE.

We stand with Representative Omar against an investigation rooted in xenophobic fabrications and politically motivated attacks. And we stand with every dissenting voice that has been targeted for speaking truth to power. by @repdeliaramirez

For almost a decade, Trump and Republicans have lied about Congresswoman Omar to silence her dissent.

My sister @repilhan has not backed down, so now they are using DHS and the federal government to target and persecute her.

This is an absolute abuse of power and unacceptable.

We must strip them of their weapons. We must dismantle DHS. I stand in solidarity with Omar and every member of our community persecuted by the Trump administration. by @repdeliaramirez

We know you are not sorry, Markwayne. You are just a tool.

That’s why you — like your predecessor — will be held accountable by the American people. by @repdeliaramirez

DHS is the biggest threat to our communities.

The pain and trauma they have inflicted on our children is unforgivable.

But we can choose to change course, dismantle DHS, protect our children, and reimagine the safety of our communities. by @repdeliaramirez

ICE supervisors and “well-trained” agents have perpetrated horrors, shootings, and murders in our communities.

Training and reforms won’t stop the violence because DHS AGENTS ARE NOT ROGUE.

DHS was designed to be a weapon. We must dismantle DHS and hold every perpetrator of violence accountable. by @repdeliaramirez

Latina power deserves fair recognition. Latinas deserve equal pay for equal work.

Despite being a critical part of America's workforce, Latinas earn just 53 cents for every dollar earned by a man at the same job.

This Congresista will continue the fight to close the wage gap for ALL women! by @repdeliaramirez

I am proud to lead a coalition that is answering the call to reimagine and build something new.

My Reimagining Safety Act is community-led legislation that would dismantle DHS, Melt ICE, and create a new human- and community-centered federal Department of Community Safety to promote collective care and well-being. by @repdeliaramirez
