Florida House Representative District 101 -
Dania Beach and parts of Hollywood, Davie, Hallandale, and Fort Lauderdale

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One of my top priorities as your State Representative is bringing your tax dollars back home. This year, I secured more than $48 million in funding for projects that will directly benefit our communities and improve quality of life throughout District 101 and Florida.

These investments support critical needs including stormwater mitigation, roadway improvements, public safety, workforce development, healthcare, senior services, veteran care, education, and our Floridian Jewish community.

I’m grateful to my budget chairs, Appropriations Chair McClure, and Speaker Daniel Perez for their partnership throughout the budget process.

I am committed to fighting for District 101 and all Floridians, delivering results and advocating for the resources our communities need to grow and thrive.

After the dust has settled, the results are in.

Talk can be cheap - hard work delivers the real results. With the Florida FY 2026-27 budget finalized, I’m proud that House District 101 led the Broward Legislative Delegation in funding secured for our community. Every dollar represents months of advocating, negotiating, and fighting for the priorities that matter most to the people I represent.

Bringing your tax dollars back home has always been my priority in Tallahassee - and it will continue to be. I’m honored to bring these wins back to the community I have the privilege of serving.

Thank you to Speaker Perez, President Albritton, and Governor DeSantis for your leadership and partnership over the past two years.

I didn’t run for office to protect special interests, I ran to protect Floridians. There are red flags in our insurance system that can’t be ignored. When claims are being delayed, denied, or unpaid at an unprecedented rate, we have a problem. And when consumers are left powerless while premiums skyrocket, we need to act. I’m not here to tip the scale, I’m here to balance it. I believe in a fair marketplace where both the consumer and the insurer play by the rules. Anything less is unacceptable. Let’s stop the distractions and start asking the hard questions. #consumerprotection #insurance #florida #floridahouse #propertyinsurance by @rephillarycassel

Being your State Representative is a full-time job, and that responsibility doesn’t end when I leave Tallahassee.

Every day this week, we have been knocking on doors, listening to neighbors, and having meaningful conversations across District 101.

To me, representing you means showing up for you. Not just during legislative session, not just when it’s convenient, but every single day.

Because leadership isn’t just about the work you do in Tallahassee. It’s about the people you show up for back home. And I’ll never stop showing up for you!

I’d be honored to have your vote. 🗳️

The big wins make headlines. The little things make a difference.

Some of my favorite parts of this job are the small things: helping a neighbor untangle a state agency, showing up at a school event, answering the phone when someone needs help. And yes, passing legislation and fighting for big things for Florida families matters too.

But my favorite part, always, is the community and the district. You’re the reason I do this.

A day in the life of your State Representative

Morning: candidate forum at the Children’s Services Council of Broward County.

Day: knocking doors, talking to neighbors.

Evening: ran home to change, then stood with our community at David Posnak’s October 7th event.

The work for District 101 never stops, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

If I haven’t knocked on your door yet, I’m on my way!

What you do after a storm can make all the difference when it comes to protecting your home and your insurance claim.

There are critical steps Florida homeowners often overlook, from documenting damage before cleanup to understanding their rights when filing a claim.

I’ve put together some of the most commonly missed post-storm tips every homeowner should know.

October 7th is a day we must never forget.

I was honored to join our community at the David Posnack JCC for a moving evening of remembrance, including a screening of Three Days in October and a candle-lighting ceremony honoring the lives lost in the horrific October 7, 2023 terrorist attacks on Israel.

As I lit a candle, I reflected on the innocent lives stolen, the families forever changed, and the resilience of the Jewish people.

This evening was more than a remembrance. It was a reminder of our responsibility to stand against antisemitism, preserve the truth, and ensure the next generation never forgets what happened.

We remember. We honor. And we never forget. 🇮🇱🕯️ taken in David Posnack JCC by @rephillarycassel

Too many times we see big insurance companies leaving families holding the bag, those families are who I fight for in Tallahassee.

For over 15 years as an insurance attorney, I sat across from people who had done everything right. They paid their premiums and protected their homes, and their insurance company still let them down. Nancy knows those families too. As a public insurance adjuster, she’s there for them when they need help the most.

When she says families are left with “an illusory piece of paper,” I know exactly what she means. That’s why I took my fight from the courtroom to the Capitol, and I will continue fighting for Floridians and lower premium rates.

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists attacked Israel in the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Families were torn apart, and hundreds were taken hostage.

Today, we remember every life lost, every person who endured captivity, and every family who has carried unimaginable grief. We honor the memory of those who never came home and the strength of those who did.

Hatred thrives when we are divided. It loses when we stand together. Across every background, faith, and community, we choose to stand united against antisemitism and hate in all its forms.

We will always remember. We will always stand together.

Never forget. Never again. 🕯️💙
