Congress is the only branch of government with the constitutional authority to declare war, and today the House voted for the second time to end the hostilities in Iran. The American people remain in the dark about this Administration's ever-shifting objectives while it asks Congress for billions more to continue funding this unconstitutional war. Every Democrat voted to end the conflict, while only four Republicans joined us in saying: enough. End this war. by @repmarktakano

Yesterday, 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25; Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28; Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19; and Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, returned to American soil in flag-draped coffins. My heart is with the families and loved ones of the now eighteen servicemembers who have died in Iran. I'm voting for a War Powers Resolution to rein in Trump and his war of choice with constantly shifting objectives. Congress cannot allow him to continue to put servicemembers at risk. by @repmarktakano

I took my red pen to Secretary Hegseth's op-ed. His essay, like his leadership, was inconsistent and undisciplined. He argues the national debt is a real threat while asking for $1.5 trillion in unpaid for spending, all while refusing to ask billionaires to pay their fair share or reign in this administration in their wars of choice. He gets an F. by @repmarktakano

House Republicans have brought a government funding bill to the floor that gives Republicans and the Trump Administration a backdoor way to fund Border Patrol.
I voted NO because major reforms are needed to rein in agents who believe they are above the law. This was obviously not a serious attempt to prevent a government shutdown; it was an underhanded way to continue funding Trump’s deportation machine. by @repmarktakano
