Our last mailer this session will be arriving to your mailbox soon! 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

➡️ Swipe to see bill highlights from this legislative session

During the 60-day 2026 legislative session, your elected officials reviewed 2,475 bills and 214 resolutions. It is our desire to improve our quality of life in our beloved state of Hawai’i. In total, 268 bills were passed and sent to the Governor for approval.

My work is ongoing, and a dedicated full-time job. Our district continues to experience significant projects that require committed leadership: Aloha Stadium Redevelopment, relocation of the Oahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) to Halawa, Halawa Correctional Facility, Halawa Industrial district, the Red Hill water issue with the Navy, two rail stations, Pearlridge Shopping Center, and military facilities including Ft. Shafter, Tripler Hospital, Camp Smith, and housing at Red Hill, Aliamanu Military Reservation, and McGrew Pt.

Thank you for trusting me to represent your voice. I remain dedicated to serving you. Please contact me with any feedback or concerns 🤙🏼 by @repshimizu

October is National Pedestrian Safety Awareness Month! 🚶‍♂️🚗

I had a great time at Aiea High School’s Drive with Aloha event yesterday. It was great to see our students and community come together to promote safer roads and remind motorists to slow down, stay alert, and drive with aloha.

Let’s all do our part to keep our keiki and community safe! 🤙🚸 Mahalo @aieahssg for the invite and great event. by @repshimizu

If you or a loved one needed blood, would you expect it to be readily available to use? Someone’s loved one is currently in the hospital asking for YOUR help. Only 2% of Hawaii’s population cares enough to put their fear of needles aside to step up for others who can’t fight for themselves. Will you join this elite team of lifesavers?

Repost from @hidcca

The Hawaiʻi Public Utilities Commission will hold a HYBRID public hearing on Friday, Oct. 2 at 6:00 p.m. on Oʻahu to receive input on the Hawaiian Electric Companies’ proposed rebasing adjustment.

The proposal requests an increase in annual revenues that would affect electric rates for customers across Hawaiian Electric’s service territories. No decision has been made and members of the public are encouraged to attend and share their views.

Can’t attend in person? Written public comments may also be submitted online.

One of my core beliefs as your State Representative is that government works best when it is transparent, accountable, and worthy of the public’s trust. Recent corruption cases have understandably raised concerns throughout our state and reinforced the need for stronger expanded laws and meaningful oversight.

This month, I joined fellow members of the Good Government Caucus in supporting efforts to close campaign finance loopholes and strengthen public confidence in government. While the vast majority of public servants work hard to serve with integrity, we must continue ensuring our laws promote accountability and transparency at every level.
